The reactions of some people to a spider or something seem to me to be utterly ridiculous (grown men screaming and shrieking like a little girl). Unless they are actually crawling on me and being overly aggressive, I don't bother them because they tend to catch the really bothersome insects that I can't keep out of the house, such as houseflies and gnats. Besides, it's always nice to have pets that you don't have to buy food for or take to the vet all the time. Mice, on the other hand are "taken care of" as soon as they start to invade, but I don't react to them in such a ridiculous way.
