i gotta say mindy kaling is the most entertaining guest i've seen on craig's show. she is genuine and not stand-offish in anyway. she engages with craig and that makes their back n forth exciting. you don't really feel the hollywood-iness in them. when two genuine people talk to each other, it creates a more relatable environment for the audience.

She mustve been hired for her demeanor because shes not naturally riffing off of Craigs jokes. Just my observation though 🤷🏻 thanks for letting me share

TV shows inviting chefs over is always the most awkward thing to me. You have these hosts trying to.. wel... host, but also not host because that's the chef's job as well. And a chef has this set thing in mind that they need to do to show off the thing they're brought on the show for in the first place. If you have hosts that don't respect the cook's ways, you get a mess. Craig, the respectful charming man that he is, not only invites his previous guest to join in on the cooking but also manages to just let Myron do whatever he wants while giving some background commentary. Not eager to stand in the spotlight, but fine by just hanging out. Love it.

Hinduism is actually very monotheistic - what people think of as gods, like Shiva or Visnu etc, are actually aspects of one indivisible being.
@gangapoornima2 жыл бұрын
Not every Hindu chooses to experience it that way, some streams of hinduism/hindus chose only one way, but its true what you wrote, i just wanted to expand a bit because hare rama hare Krishnas are considered Hindu, and there are Hindus that sometimes hate other religions and if they would agree with you, that would not happen. This invisible being, source, god, nature- its said in sanskrit in the vedas that the origin is unknown, but not all hindus use the same scriptures in their house.
@Feenix1022 жыл бұрын
@@gangapoornima Of course, there are bound to be differences - not all Christians play in a brass band like the Salvation Army, for example. I studied vedic and vedantic philosophy as part of my undergrad and that is my interpretation of it (obviously it is going to be richer than that in practice, by definition). I appreciate your comment, thankyou. :o)
@whydoyouwanttoknowthat Жыл бұрын
"very monotheistic" ... Umm no.
@Feenix102 Жыл бұрын
@@whydoyouwanttoknowthat Hinduism isn't monolithic - there is not one tradition and personal belief is a focus of a lot of Hindu practice. How would you interpret the following, from the Scholarly Community Encyclopaedia: "Hindu traditions that emerged from or identified with the Vedic scriptures and that maintained the notion of a metaphysical ultimate reality would identify that ultimate reality as Brahman. Hindu adherents to these traditions within Hinduism revere Hindu deities and, indeed, all of existence, as aspects of the Brahman."? To me it would suggest that at least some forms of Hinduism are monotheistic, with Brahman being an indivisible reality. Is it the only belief within Hinduism? No, and I take the point that my statement suggested that it was, but within the Vedic tradition (which I studied mainly) the belief that Brahman is the ultimate reality and is panentheistic through the Brahman-Atman synthesis, a monotheistic belief in effect, certainly exists. 10 appearances? Good god. I barely know who she is, except from ancient "Office" clips (and she wasn't really a regular, it appears, though she seems to have "produced" the show somehow and written several episodes) -- I don't get it, is the point. I'm looking at her credits on Wikipedia and they're nothing I'm interested in, particularly post-Office. Some of it may be popular, I don't know. She recently got the National Medal of Arts. For what? - starring in "Ocean's 8"? The majority of her important work is tied to "The Office", which ended in 2013. She had a show about herself that was on Fox a couple years, got cancelled, and was picked up by Netflix for a couple more years. Nothing else substantial. No real presence on the big screen after 2013. It kinda seems like a fail-upwards story, and a story about, "Well The Office is over and we don't really care anymore." And yet she gets national medals and appeared on Ferguson TEN TIMES (god knows how many times on other shows!). It seems like she was given plenty of support by most of the Industry. It also seems like she was the American-Indian Amy Schumer: someone we've just had to deal with. Speaking about being American, how can she not understand the sensitivity about slavery? It seems kinda deliberate. Weird. All in all, the problem with this show's guests is that many of them were from 2000s/early-2010s TV shows, and not only did most of the shows not hold up, the performers didn't either. A lot of "starlets", lovingly curated by this channel, who did very little after 2015. I think Mindy Kaling is part of that group, judging by her Wikipedia page.
