Brosnan is Bond to me. Look, style and charm. Felt like the only Bond actor (next to Roger maybe) who really loved and appreciated being Bond.

That was a classy defense of George Lazenby at the end, Pierce seems like such a class act.

I took Pierce Brosnan slightly for granted as he was Bond when I was young, but I appreciate him more and more. He was truly destined to be Bond, and he certainly knew the history. He ALWAYS mentioned Roger Moore.

Pierce Brosnan will always be THE definitive Bond. Was a brilliant mix of Connery and Moore’s styles.

I really like Craig, but Pierce Brosnan is my Bond. He was the 1st Bond I saw on the Big Screen & to see him smoothly glide across the screen in the gunbarrel with Eric Serra’s theme is cemented in my memory.

Both Brosnan and Craig were my favourite Bonds growing up. My most favourite is Sir Sean Connery.

I saw this when it aired! I used to lap up anything and everything Bond, I'd set the VCR for even the slightest mention. So cool that all those bit and bobs are now on YT. Thanks for uploading!

I am big fan of bond series. They brought the bond charector alive charming personality the command on language dilogue delivery and offcourse the direction.

In retrospect Pierce really was a perfect combination of Sean Connery and Roger Moore. He really was responsible for bringing James Bond forward into the modern audiences after Bond was off the screens for a few years. And now that the Craig era ended so terribly sad, It really puts the Brosnan era into a new light. His films were all big fun light hearted adventures - with Brosnan himself bringing with him wit ,style and toughness. Really classic James Bond!

As a fellow Irish man I followed this at the time, Most people don't know that Timothy Dalton was a backup to Pierce Brosnan in 1986.... My profile photo is of Pierce from that moment

Here in Australia one tv network is playing a "Summer of Bond", a 007 movie each night, from Dr No, onwards. Funnily enough tonight it will be "Tomorrow Never Dies", his 2nd film as 007. Yes he was a good fit for the role.

To think Bond made his career is always surprising to me. I always felt he had is career before Bond, and that it was just the cherry on top. It’s also heart breaking knowing he got screwed around by NBC only to get screwed by EON years later. To this day 22 years later I’m still mad for him.

A great Bond. I bet Fleming would have approved of him in a minute. Legend

I personally liked George in his only film. It was the only time 007 was married. I can still watch that movie and appreciate it for what it was.

I was 15 yr old when I had my first ever date with a hot older Russian girl to watch Goldeneye at the cinema. I couldn't believe she said yes, and had my first kiss too. Great times.

George Lazenby was pretty mistreated during the making of OHMSS, and only mostly because he didn't like how UA's "movie royalty" bullshit meant that directors and major actors could mistreat film crews with impunity. Diana Rigg and the director were up in some toasty little bar during the night shoot at the skating rink/track while the whole set was outside freezing, so George went and told them both off. Nobody should blame him for telling the studio to let him go back and make commercials in Australia.

Brosnan was lucky to get the role. Dalton's 2nd and final Bond was the Living Daylights in 1989. There wasn't another Bond movie for 6 years (Goldeneye 1995) because of a legal dispute between the Bond Production Co and the Studio. Dalton had moved on by then and said didn't wish to revisit the Bond role. Dalton turned down Goldeneye and it was then they recast the part and chose Brosnan.

He should have got Craig's Bond movies.. It one of Moore's.. Brosnans were mediocre
@chrissoren3521Ай бұрын
Pierce Brosnan was the most overrated actor to portray James Bond. Brosnan acted like Moore only with an Irish accent. Goldeneye was suppose to be Timothy Dalton's 3rd film. Dalton made a very big career defining mistake when he gave up Bond and allowed Brosnan to overshadow his career
@JonNotoАй бұрын
Dalton wanted to move on. Not everything in life revolves around that franchise.
@MaddBadgerrАй бұрын
The studio refused to take Dalton on again for anything less than four more movies (he had already done two). He would have done one or two more if not for their inflexibility. I would have liked to see a third Daltron movie as well, but Brosnan was excellent as Bond. Make fun of his accent all you want, it's nowhere near as noticeable as Connery's Scottish accent, and no-one's ever argued he was a worse Bond for that.

I'd say Craig is the most overrated. Brosnan lacked the charisma and screen presence that Connery and Moore had.

I guess it's all matter of taste. Ofcourse, some lack the good taste to enjoy the brilliance of great actors like Brosnan.
