Very inspiring video, thanks Schmiindy for sharing! It resonates very well as I just went through a similar upgrade in my 1971 Robin DR253: 2* AV-30C for attitude indicator and directional gyro, EDM930 primary engine monitor, and a FLARM collision warning device.I kept the original factory autopilot, though - a 1960's design but it still works, believe it or not! Game changer for me was the engine monitor. I like the fact that you went for "round glass" AI and DG, rather than a full glass cockpit such as a G1000 or similar. The spirit of your beautiful oldtimer is well maintained. Wish you fun with your Cessna! Blue skies :)

Reno, Tahoe, Monterey, Yosemite (aerial tour, you can't land there), Napa (only 10 minutes!), Columbia, an over-nighter or weekend trip to McMinnville to see the Spruce Goose... This is so awesome. Exactly what I want to do with my old nonstandard panel 210. Keep the retro look and have all the modern conveniences and reliability. The engine monitor is a huge deal and combining all those instruments into the little close at hand display, well it’s just impressive to say the least. I’m sure you had help with the expense from the vendor partners but would love a breakdown of approximate costs if you ever do a follow up video. Thanks for the awesome content. Also, your flight brought back memories of flying into and out of Orlando Apopka Airport back in the early to mid 1980's, when you had to avoid the potholes in the runway. Certainly, a much nicer airport these days. Best of luck in your adventures!

CIES fuel senders are awesome. I also have 3 GI-275's in. I had a similar location for the GI-275 EIS, but decided to relocate it to the upper left (left of the analog air speed indicator) as I preferred to have it in a more visible location. I find that I almost never check it when its in the lower right position. But now its more visible in the scan, and with the prices of engine overhauls these days, perhaps a better choice to look at it more often.
