You still want the plane to open cockpit gramps? Or is that not WW2 enough 😂
@JohnMoore-xf5wy2 күн бұрын
@Simracingisgoated Gramps. Yep! I have a beautiful grandson in Montana and I hope he stays there where he's safe! I've flown several aircraft types from the Corbin Baby Ace (open cockpit, parasol wing single seater 65 hp four-banger with a wooden prop) up to and including the 747-200 and have always wanted to fly some of the WW II birds, notably the F4U, the P38, the F6 Hellcat, the B17, 26 and 25, and would love to fly the German FW 190! I AM rated in the marvellous PBY Catalina which is real treat! And I LOVE radial engines! Nine and eighteen cylinder radials require constant attention and are engineering marvels! Just starting an ice cold R2800 is a challenge at the very least! Jets and propjets are boring! (Yawn.)😊
@JohnMoore-xf5wy2 күн бұрын
@Simracingisgoated PS. There were no open cockpit aircraft flown during WW II, IIRC. That was WW ONE! Suggest you read a history book. Or two. 🙄
