I'm so happy Larry got the plush. Our men never really ask for anything, but it's always so nice to see them smile. When we moved into our house, we had brown trim throughout. We did the same and repainted all the trim. Looks great!

Your house looks great! I would definitely paint the doors until you can replace them, but something small that would make a HUGE difference would be to replace the light switches and outlet plates. It’ll really clean it up ☺️

We just renovated our house and we had all of our old, ugly, orange wood doors and trim painted white as well. It made a HUGE difference! You definitely won’t regret it! You might consider painting the bookshelves white as well. It looks like your living room doesn’t get a lot of natural light (neither does ours) and painting the bookshelves white will brighten up the room and give a more cohesive look.

Seeing Marshmallow Man reminded me one of the easiest Halloween costumes for a little boy is dress him as one of the Ghostbusters. I was like the boys in Stranger Things S2. I did dress up a Ghostbuster during the late-80s. I used to watch the animated series, owned The Ghostbusters II soundtrack, and had a water squirter of Slimer.

I would have painted all the wood because of the orange color. But that’s me. Now the orange tile on the fire place may not look so good with the white and navy. Dark gray would be really good.

Thankfully it’s just paint, so you can always change it if you change your mind. I’ve repainted my rooms numerous times. I painted all of my interior doors black, and love it.

Love how the white trim looks! It makes the house much brighter! There's just one thing that bothers me: the big contrast between the trimmed boards and the dark brown floor. 😅 If only you could've kept the new floor that you got for the previous house... But then, I'm not sure if it wouldn't look a little boring at the same time, being both the floor and the walls kind of grey... so, I don't know. 😅 And I'm so curious to see it all done, with the navy wall and the gold accents! I’m sure you need the space of both sides of the closet in the guest bedroom but I’ve seen where others have taken the doors off and and put the desk in there. Create bulletin boards and some decor on small shelves. Just an idea!
