Wow, amazing channel you've got, I didn't know anybody was this hardcore, and I certainly didn't think they would post all about it on KZbin, very cool. Make sure to make redundant digital copies of your work and pass them down so the knowledge isn't lost...well, not telling you what to do, just trying to pay a compliment in my own way. Anyways, what brought me here was I was thinking of buying a 6 ton come along to move some big rocks down a hill, but is that overkill?
@hardrockuniversity72832 жыл бұрын
It depends on the steepness of the hill. Also, what is a 'big rock' to you? Make sure they can't take off on you and get someone hurt also.

Keith for very big rocks we use the Sierra blaster! It works excellent! Can't wait to go dredging in the spring!

I'm not sure what the regs are here for that, but I know nobody has one here. I'd like to try one someday.

If you can use them in California you can use them anywhere it's called the Sierra blaster.

Seems likely, but I would check it out. I may have a use for them this winter. If I ever use them I will do a video. They seem to do well.

@@forestanderson3267 It is a saying a friend of mine has. I had a lot of fun last summer and I consider it sort of a 'safe' adventure. Thanks for the help and the fun. I'm still working options to hopefully make it a full time gig. Probably snow bird it to chase the decent temperatures.

Wayne is pretty hard core when it comes to moving rocks. HE has a gas powered winch and isn't afraid to use it. In our case, with only a comealong and a short length of small diameter cable, the danger seems fairly modest in case of suddwn failure. Evereone but the comealong operator can stay clear, but what can HE do?

I saw a theory on that once that made a lot of sense. They hypothesized that they simply strapped rounded pieces of wood to the sides and thusly turned them into cylinders. They tested it out by hauling a block of concrete about 4 feet cubed up a loading dock ramp with three guys. Made sense to me.
