If you were in a speedrun and you realized that your end enter was WR pace you'll have the reaction once you're so close to killing the dragon. For example, if I was on my last bed on my one cycle required to kill the dragon (and I'm way ahead of the previous WR, I would start freaking out from there as I know I'm almost guaranteed to getting the WR at that point).
