Another great tutorial! For me, the bif takeaway here was that hopper minecarts grab items significantly faster than plain ol' hoppers. I did not know that! I had a transport system that was not fast enough, so that sometimes I'd manually grab some items out of the chest cart and put them in the receiving box rather than wait around for it to finish. I did some noodling around to make use of a hopper cart in the way you showed, and presto! Now I don't have to wait or schlep stuff around. Thank you! Keep up the good work!

Definitely i love all the minecart unloaders that make use of the detector rail for me it has been the most reliable way to unload minecarts and also the most flexible for making filtered minecarts

As others have noted, if the first design is not working for you and you're trying to run hoppers into a hopper line, run the hopper in the unloader into a chest first. Mine would not work at all, the torch/comparator would flicker a couple times but it wouldn't unload the full cart. Eventually it got backed up and stopped moving. I ran the hopper into a chest and then a hopper coming from that chest into my normal feed line and it fixed the issue.

I discovered that for loading or unloading unstackable items to/from a hopper minecart all you need to do is bounce the cart off a honey block. They honey block holds it just long enough to transfer all five items with zero redstone (well except for the powered rail). This is great for potion drops in your witch farm, or weapon/armor drops from your zombie farm. Also glass panes will position a cart directly over the center of a 2x2 hopper thing, walls offset it slightly.

1.16.100 literally just made villagers behave the same way as in Java. Just look up a tutorial and test it yourself in creative; I’d recommend logicalgeekboy’s. Basically the prices reduce by 20 or 5 (books, armour and tools go down by 20) emeralds per curing permanently for one villager only.

@@zay_dog1267 but silent's design work, just the discounts are smaller, don't do a Java design because you need to zombify each villager, while in bedrock a single villager in the middle is enough as silent did in his tutorial, if you need big discounts then you just need to zombify and cure him a couple of times untill you reach 1 emerald/item trade and I tested

@@DarkNght-cl6xp yes, it does work, but each cure only gives a paltry discount of one emerald (or five for expensive items). On top of that you have to wait for the zombie to be cured multiple times. The prices you get if you cure a zombie villager individually are *permanent*, and you’ll only have cure each guy once or rarely, twice

@@zay_dog1267 actually not, it isn't permanent, everything is the same and nothing is like java except that the discounts are less, curing the villager himself is worse and doesn't make a difference and is just waste of resources, and if it as you say how shall I cure him only once or twice, for example my unbreaking 3 villager sells it for me for 34 emeralds, and 22 paper for one emerald, if it as you say I will need to cure him 7 times to reach 1 emerald book and 22 times for 1 paper trade plus it isn't permanent, the things that changed in these 2 updates are that villagers farm crops more reliably and that they don't steal workstations and that discounts are decreased to match java but anything else is the same

Hi there. First of all thanks 4 all the fantastic tutorials you do and all the effort you put into them. I have a small issue with a Minecart drop off and return system and I wonder if you can help. My cart chest will run up to the drop off point ( around 50 or so blocks up ) and return but it still has the items in it. If I am up near the drop off point it i can see it unloads perfectly well into a minecart hopper/hopper array then into a collection chest. The system is using a piston linked to an activator rail to retract allowing the chest cart to sit above the hopper then a comparator on the hopper to fire the piston ( pushing the cart back down ) when the minecart chest is empty. Any ideas why the cart returns but with the items in it when I am at the bottom of my mine yet drops off and returns ok when I ride up to the top with it? ( my X,Z coordinate is still pretty close to the drop of return system only the Y is different by about 50 blocks. ) Many thanks and keep up the excellent work... 😀

I have an idea. The last block that's powered that sends the cart back sends the cart back to soon for it to unload all the way. So, what if it had a delay before the last rail cut on and sent it back?

maybe someone can help me figure this out. i made the very first one due to space constraints, but ever time the minecart comes in to unload the comparator/torch/repeater all flash a few times, the minecart unloads 3 items then goes really slow the other direction. it never stops to unload until empty. is that the intended behavior? thanks EDIT: so after playing around in creative it seems to work if I only have one hopper and not like at 4:35 where silent says I can have it going into another hopper line. and if I only have the one layer of hoppers then the cart closest to the chest won't leave until all other minecarts AND hoppers up stream are empty

So I just built #2 and it worked fine for about an hour... ish? I returned to a bunch of entities floating in my ocean general farm and the minecart w/ hopper was just stopped on the powered rail unloading zone. The rail is powered so I'm not sure why the minecart won't bounce off the block and head down the track but also... It won't pick up items through the block above when I manually start it by pushing it to the next powered rail... Anyone have any suggestions?

I don’t know if the 4 stacked raid farm still works. Silent’s latest raid farm upload, a single one, definitely works. Stacked raid farms are possible in 1.16, but I don’t know if the one Silent made before still works.
