Minecart unloader and loader with single and tileable designs. Minecraft Bedrock and Java tutorial.

Hello everyone, Prowl here with a tutorial that works on both Bedrock and Java editions of Minecraft. Today’s video is about hopper minecart unloader and loader stations. We have 2 designs for each, 1 is tileable and 1 is not tileable but a bit cheaper to build. Hopper minecart systems are one of the easiest ways to gather or move items in Minecraft, so have a good loader and unloader is very important! I hope everyone enjoys!

Good design for the loader. Just thinking, but if you’re using a hopper minecart, it might be faster to have your hopper line filling a chest then have the minecart pulling from the chest. Also, be careful with the torches in that second version, because they’ll lock up the hopper line below them.

You still have to input minecart via hopper so its again on hopperspeed So you need more hopper But than you have to „read“ release signal from all hoppers otherwise -> issues

Any idea how to build a bulk loader? Example being kelp farm then say 200 blocks away is a super smelter. Move lots of kelp from kelp farm to smelter.

Yes but the problem is the simulation distance. If you play on a PC I think the max sim distance is 12 chunks (may be it's 10?) But at 12 that's 192 blocks away, once the minecart goes beyond that point, it's unloaded and stops. Most worlds default to 4 chunk sim, only 64 blocks.

You should be able to make the second to last design tillable if you put powered rail on every other spot where the red stone wouldn’t be tillable. As long as it’s just the red stone line that would interfere and not the torches..? If I understand currently it should work with powered rail then red stone alternating because they won’t interfere with each other and both will work from the torch. You’d have to actually get it going sideways from the track though… so tricky placement but should work. Technically a bit cheaper than 2 comparators as well.

I've had issues with minecarts disappearing if the chunk unloads right as they try to rest next each other.

News from 1.16 Java Edition: First design does not work anymore. The minecart bumps into hopper, picks some items and then just stays there without contact and unable to load more items. Fixed by placing another hopper above the minecart.

First design Doesn’t work on bedrock... detector rail just flattens out when a it gets updated by the Minecraft traveling into it

im finding my minecart hooper bounces back out of the collection station, the comparator doesnt shut the powered rail down fast enough any ideas?

If you have a hopper under the hopper that the comparator reads the signal from, it takes the first item out too fast and kicks it back out. If you have that hopper instead point to a hopper on any of the sides, itll stop the cart no problem.
