Still my favourite item sorter :) . To anyone having issues change the powered rail that goes sideways at 8:20 ish to a corner normal rail and then have the water flowing towards it. Think the minecarts go too quick otherwise. Also the blocks he says to change to stairs next to the observers that push the minecart keep as normal blocks. Always been reliable since these changes and my go to item sorter. Hope this helps :) Also i chunk aligned it so all the chests are in one chunk and the redstone in the other.

For anyone having problems where the minecart is getting sucked into the wall on the FIRST SLICE of the auto sorter, the easy fix is to have nothing in the chest. Do not use the first slice for any sorting or storage, and it seems to work fine. If it's already built, I wouldn't break anything. The reason why it's being pulled is because it's not fully in the water. So If your reading this before building it, add a 1 block space of water between the button and the first slice of the auto sorter. This should fix your minecart problem.

After many fixes, I can indeed say this works 100 percent. The Problem: To have all of the chests working look down below to my edit. Anyways, if you want to have all the chests working then the main problem is going to be the first couple chests. These don’t work because the Mine-cart is too fast and goes more than halfway the first piston before it can push it. Because it is more than halfway but not all the way through, it stops it and in effect, causes all the other carts to get stuck. And that is the problem I noticed, at least in my situation. Edit: To everyone building this in the newest version, it works but with a few tweaks. The main problem with this is the speed of the Mine-cart hoppers. The part where the Mine-cart goes into the water is the problem. The block across the button can be replaced with a fence and the water under the button needs to be replaced with a slime block. Of course there is a chance that you may have built it wrong. And if silent responds to this with a fix, I thank him. Otherwise this is amazing, very fast sorting. Also, if you are confused I will make a post on my channel of the fix when I have time.

I ended up having a recurring issue though which caused torches (yes specifically torches) to break the machine. They ALWAYS ended up in the filler item chests also I replaced the powered rails there with regular. Another odd fix I found when it would act funny on only one slice is to break and replace the block that pushes the minecart out of the water. Just replace it in the same location. Credits to user-td8mm1sy3j in the comments who worked really hard to get the problen solved! 1. Of the three rails placed right before the minecart enters the water channel, switch the top one to a regular rail turning into the channel. 2. In the same place, change the powered rail on ground level right where it's elevating to a regular rail. 3.Break the glass block opposite the button placed to hold the water in and swap it with a fence post 4. Finally, replace the water under the button with blue ice. This solution worked perfectly, slowing down the minecarts yet keeping the timing right.

After many hours of pulling my hair out, trying to get this to work reliability, and trying all of the suggestions in the comments, I think I may have found something that works. Long term testing still needed, and some of these changes may not actually be contributing to success, but it appears promising: • add an extra block of space between brain and first slice • use 2 regular rails instead of 1 powered rail • replace water under button with slime block • replace block across from button with another button • water-log pistons before adding stairs Again, I have no idea what combination of these things are actually making a difference, or if it will work long enough to empty out an entire double chest of items, but it seems to at least be more consistent...

I just built this and I had a few issues and reading the comments I noticed some people had the same. Here are issues and my fixes. The mine carts entered the water to fast and was past the sticky piston when it fired. This caused the item to taken from the category chest, and the minecart being sent up the wrong line, or to stop in water and create a mine cart backup. To fix this I slowed down the minecarts by swapping out the powered rail just before the water with a curved regular rail. And adding 2 slime blocks. One under the glass block with the button, hoping the cart rubs it on the way up, and one at the top of the turn. This fixed the issue but somehow slowing the carts caused the timing to be off as they unload and get pushed toward the powered cart return line. So some carts would go left some would go right and they would bump sometimes with no issue but sometimes getting stuck. To solve this I just made the return line longer and curved back on it self. This fixed everything and now it’s working beautifully. Hopefully I explained everything well enough. But if anybody is confused and interested I’d be willing to post pictures of my fixes on Reddit.

Sometimes they'll make it up and sometimes they won't; I then need to go into the water in order to nudge them along. I am within a chunk border but I'm not sure why my carts keep getting stuck. Edit: Some carts are still glitching into the stairs when the piston pushes them and sometimes it won't push them far enough on the tracks so if I nudge them to get them going, they'll float to another track. Any other recommendations for blocks to use? EDIT: Hot diggity dog! I got it working using mud blocks instead of stairs, works like a charm now!

FOR THOSE WHO IS EXPERIENCING ISSUES WITH THIS BUILD: I had an issue where all the carts were going too fast under water and all categories was getting shifted, as someone mentioned in the comments partial fix may be replacing top powered rail that launches cart into the water with regular cornered rail, but some carts will still go too fast. rearranging powered rails in the cart loader system can make carts go slower, but after that another issue will appear, it’s when cart go too slow, so the first layer will “eat” all carts and piston will just pull it into blocks, even placing stairs instead of blocks didn’t help. I figured out that it was caused by cart not being able to be pushed because of block of glass on its way. So, the complete solution that works like a charm: 1.) replace top powered rail with regular one cornered into water 2.) replace first powered rail on carts way up with a regular one 3.) replace glass block (which button that holds water placed on) with fence block and place button on block in front of fence 4.) and finally replace water under the button with blue ice block Really hope that will help, because I spent couple hours fixing all that

I’ve linked the sides using corners, extending out the bubble elevator channels until they meet, then using a powered rail and a one space non bubble water block to slow the minecarts. System appears to be performing flawlessly, and is going to be the central storage area for our next megabase on bedrock. Changes we’ve implemented: Changed the stairs pushing minecarts out the water channel to smooth stone Removed the glass block opposite button on entry to water channel, replaced with button to stop minecarts catching on the edge We have also added named blocks into each empty filter slot to prevent any potential glitch items picked up from getting sorted incorrectly as a further fail safe.

Hey, i have problems to bring the minecarts around the corner. So you build the bubble elevator channel up to the point where the bubble elevator of the next side is? And how do you bring the minecart around the corner? Just a single powered rail at the end of the first bubble elevator facing in the direction of the next bubble elevator channel? In this case the powered rail has to be under water, or? And after that just a normal water collum and then starting the bubble elevator again? I hope you can help me, in all my attempts the last days i got problems with the timing after the corner... :(
@ScottReid-b7e11 ай бұрын
Yes, the powered rail has to be under a source block, I’ve elevated mine so the bubble elevator path remains 2 high like the slices, covered by solid blocks in line with the chests, then on the corner where the change of direction is required a powered rail pointing in the new direction, with a solid block behind it (not glass) and a lever on the block underneath to power. Then the next block round the corner will be a water source block on the lower of the 2 high channel and an air gap with a button on the top level so the cart splashes into the water source prior to hitting the next bubble elevator channel. This is similar to how the carts initially enter the system from the brain side.

Hey I've also made this system in a U shape and made the corners working but now the filter on the second and third side of chests let's the shovels trough. Also if you look at the back of the build you got a row of redstone torches that should be turned off, but this is only the case at the first side/row of chests and once I take a turn the row of torches isn't turned off anymore. Would it be possible to see how you've build it?

those are your filter chests. whatever item(s) you put in there is what will end up in that slice of your system. I explain this near the beginning. i explain filter chests in more detail in this video kzbin.info/www/bejne/nGjOlp2NipmFm8U

Word of advice, I tried multiple methods with dealing with stuck carts under the first slice. The only thing that has worked reliably is removing the stairs under the observers and replacing them with solid blocks. In other words completely disregard the advice he gives at 11:52 . The two fixes I made to this farm was to slow down the Minecraft by removing some of the powered rails and added a regular curved rail at 8:22 I also changed the glass block he placed at 8:32 to a button, otherwise the first slices would break the farm then you slowed it down. (So two buttons right next to each other) I also made it longer,I think I have 14 slices, and one of the slices is modded so the minecart travels to an other singel-item-sorting-system so that I have 54 items that can get sorted into bulkstorage with chulkerloaders. The best sortingsystem I ever had!!

Possible bug, I tweaked the rails a bit entering the bubble columns to get things consistent. Which it is now for everything except for non stackable items. With one in the last slot of the hopper minecart now, the minecart does not have enough momentum to fully enter and move through the bubble columns like everything else. I have to scrap an allay sorting system I was going to attach to the end of things.

Did some tinkering on the design for my own world and there is actually enough room in the loading system to have a shulker loader replace the chest even using the systems auto shut-off for the hopper minecarts. Just barley fits but you can def get the redstone in there. you do need to move that lever on the block under the repeater going into the powered rail but other than that the existing design doesn't need any other adjustment

Ok, I've been working on the storage area of my base for the past week and a half and after building and trashing three different item categorizers I am going to try to use this one. I have built many of your builds in my survival world and want to say thanks. My world would be much less easy to use if you were not putting out tutorials. How many total stackable items are in the game? I would like to know how many chests I need to store anything I throw in the system. So far I have a huge system and this build will be the crown. I will send you a screenshot when I'm done. I hope it works. After reading some of the comments I'm prepared for a little tweaking but the other systems I tried didn't work for what I needed. Anyway, thanks again.

HELP! So I built this system to the tee and double checked everything. Somehow my minecarts arent getting pushed by the pistons onto the rails after pulling the sorter item. I saw here someone tried mud blocks and that worked for them but it has not worked for me. Whats even crazier is I built this system in a test world and it works perfectly fine using the stairs on this pistons. I dont get it and could use some sort of explanation as to what might be causing this. UPDATE: I realized that the minecart was moving too quickly for the piston to activate and push it. To fix this I replaced the powered rail line that launches the minecart into the water stream with a regular rail line curving into the water stream. After changing this the pistons would push the minecart onto the proper rail line but then it would need to be nudged a little to continue through the system. To fix this I replaced the stairs with mud blocks like some people suggested and now my system works A1 100% of the time. Hope this helps out the bedrock community. Much love

Stairs didn't work for the block glitch 😭 (running latest beta). I'll play around with some other options. I was looking forward to seeing this in action. Edit: I couldn't find any other block to prevent the sticky piston from eating my minecart but I accidentally found out that the next section was working properly and tested the next one after that and it was working too. I made sure to chunk align. I built facing west, looking at it, which made the rails ~fun~ but not sure if it plays any part in this. Swapped out the glass block with the button on it to a solid block to see if that had any different outcome. It did not..

vertical trapdoors (closer to the water than the pistons) seem to avoid that glitch

@@silentwispererthe trap door just gave me easier access to my swallowed hopper minecart 😂 After further testing, appears to be only affecting the first slice, while all others work perfectly and are so fun to watch. Maybe I just use first slice as junk/temp storage until the bug is fixed. 🤷
