I just built this in 1.21, and it still works! I was having a problem with the unloading system because it wouldn't unload everything before setting off again, and how i fixed that was replacing the block underneath the powered rail where the minecart unloads with a hopper(so 2 total hoppers) with that hopper going into the original hopper. 😊
@32deej3 ай бұрын
I did this and also removed the last powered rail in the track so it isnt arriving at the hoppers so fast. Seems to give the game a little more time to turn off the hopper powered rail and be able to stop the cart.

I built this guy in the summer of 2021. Two things: 01) For the love of god build the shut-off switch. I didn't, and now I regret it, because the farm is stupid kinds of productive. I have two of them stacked and I am stuck dealing with overflow way too often. 02) 16:05 The hopper minecart unloader here doesn't work if you have this running into a hopper chain, something wonky about bedrock redstone and hoppers. Replace the second hopper in the chain (the first one below the hopper with the powered rail on it) with a normal chest or barrel. This made the unloader work perfectly for me.

If the comparator flickers when the minecart comes in and just bounces away, it means your minecart is coming in too hot. To fix it, just replace the last redstone block / powered rail with a normal rail. The minecart needs time to slow down.
@13_cmi2 жыл бұрын
This minecart is on drugs. Zero changes to the farm and it decides it won't do anything properly like it was doing before.
@n1ywb2 жыл бұрын
best fix for this is to have the cart bounce off a honey block. it completely eliminates the issue no matter how fast it comes in because it's sticky and holds the cart for a moment before it bounces off. honey blocks also conducts redstone so no need to change your unloader beyond the one block. it's it's a hopper minecart unloading unstackables then you don't even need redstone, a honey block will hold it just long enough to transfer five items.

I hate mobile touch controls - lost count of the number of times I washed away my rails 😓. Running on 1.19.40 👍 Some minor changes I made * Use scaffolding to place your rails on (except where you need powered rails). This way you can walk around under the build! (Thanks to some other random comment from some other random KZbin commenter 👍) * Place dirt around the half slabs and water log before you start planting - at least on mobile; this will 1. Make it easier to plant, as the soil won't return to normal and 2. It's easier to water log in the first place I might consider only making the mine cart run when some observation is made, but since you tend to get a lot of "random" observations while the mine craft is running, I think that might be to much effort for little reward.

@bhushan90662 жыл бұрын
Use a honey block where the minecart reaches the end, as it is an entity like player it will stick to the block of honey and thus its momentum to rebound back is absorbed. The powered rail beneath will now be unlit because of the comparator and the minecart unloads down at hopper speed. Use hopper minecart instead of the normal hoppers below to drain the harvested items faster, though that would require tweaking the redstone, use detector rail at the end and comparator reading out from behind the honey block.

For some reason the minecart unloader isn’t working. The minecart won’t park above the hopper and even when it does, it doesn’t power the rail again.
@13_cmi2 жыл бұрын
Yeah nothing works. I've made this before and it worked perfectly first try. This time the minecart decided it wouldn't unload or go around the track out of nowhere with zero changes. I didn't touch anything. I don't feel like rebuilding everything for no reason and this game is annoying enough. I'd be better off deleting the game and forgetting about it. I've always loved this game but it just isn't fun when nothing ever goes right.

The the block in front of the comparator to a hopper the points into the other hopper. Solved it for me.

I would find out that observers work on this right after having just built a pumpkin/melon farm using a clock. On another note, you can save some redstone dust by moving the pistons up, making them sticky, and putting a solid block on the front of them so long as you also have a solid block on top of each observer to conduct their signal into adjacent pistons. You can probably still do the full on/off switch with this setup too, just up by one block I guess.

Lol today I had a dream that silentwisperer said that this farm that he made in truly bedrock doesn't work and I commented on that video and said it works perfectly and I have a lot of melon and pumpkins. 😀 Idk why I even said this

Ran into a problem. At 10:00 you get to see the full image of the first step. However, the problem with it being for 1.17 is 1 chunk sizes are now 21 x 21 apparently and 2 the first step didn't work for me at the end(probably because a used a chunk finding texture pack and used it for reference) A way to fix this is this. Look at the bottom right at 10:00. Notice how the last rail is a powered rail and where it is. Now you'll want to remove the powered rail and power source(if you placed a lever for this one then you might have to switch to a redstone block it will make it easier I promise) then remove the rail behind it and the block underneath it as well. (What you are basically doing here is just switching them) Then place redstone block and powered rail behind were it used to be essentially lining them up with the rest. And put the block and rail in the other area where you just removed. now here comes the hard part. what you are going to do is to curve the rail into the start. You'll need an activator rail/detector rail and some more rails. I can not stress this enough. Do not use a powered rail! It will give the opposite effect you want! Looking at the picture from the top perspective. Remove the rail underneath the end rail. Next, remove the rail to the left of it( still on the perspective of the picture). Next place a block to the right of the first curved rail and then place a rail there. Then place a block below the empty space where the rail next to the curved rail used to be and place a rail on it. Then put the activate/detect rail in the middle if the rails. If this was done right then the rail you just placed should be facing vertically. Then remove the bottom block along with the rail, the block to the left, the activate/detect rail, and place the rail below the powered rail you placed earlier. And finally, place the activate/detect rail on the same spot you removed it and the issue should be fixed.

Hey silent for the unloader for this farm the items pile up in the mine cart but don’t have enough time to fill the chests so it doesn’t pick any items up can you help with this? Edit: i have just found out what my problem was and if anyone else has this problem I fixed it. I had more than 1 chest of storage and the original hopper that was placed in the tutorial there was just one so i had placed hoppers underneath it and the way hoppers work is that the bottom hopper is prioritized and the items got picked up by the hopper and so there was little splits between item, no item, item on and on and on. So basically just direct the hopper into a chest then take another hopper output from the chest and build a storage system or whatever you want

Alternative way to turn off farm: replace jack-o'-lanterns with redstone lamps, replace glass with solid blocks, and turn on farm by powering a block on each lamp!

Built successfully. Redstone rarely changes with updates except bug fixes. Or new bugs... If the farm doesn't exploit a bug it likely still works. This one rocks! One chuck is plenty for me
