so what's the deal? you put a dispenser facing the beehive, a shears is inside, a lever on top to activate, but the hive isn't getting harvested and isn't dropping any honeycombs. what gives?

Do you know that there’s a very rare chance that when you grow a tree oak or spruce next to flowers there’s a rare chance that they will grow with the beehives growing on them with a couple bees inside

i wish i watched this before trying to start a bee farm. I was so excited and had a lil bee house ready and once i had shears and sheared the hive they attacked me (i didnt know about the campfire method) and i was devistated when they all died :(. loved my bees.

Putting the trap door above a campfire doesn't allow the smoke to pass through it and hit the bees nest. It doesnt work in Bedrock at least

An update probably changed it you’ll just have to break the trap door harvest then replace the trap door

The damn bees attack me every time with a campfire 1-2 blocks under the hives. I’ve tried carpet and moss above it also. They hate me. What’s the issue here?

Also if you want to have a goat farm, you should do it on top of honey blocks. This prevents them from jumping and escaping.

Just spent a couple of hours growing trees with flowers next to them. 5% chance it grows with a nest on it. Got me 15 nests with bees (and 30 stacks of oak logs) These hives and breeding seem easier... Edit: O, also: i heard you can put a closed fence gate next to the nest and the bees can go in but will not go out. Useful if you want to move it with bees inside.

Hi, Great to the point guide. Here are some future vid ideas. I’m a returning player so doing a vid tilted catching up for returning players will likely be popular. I’m a console player so identifying any differences will be appreciated greatly. I know more work but I think it will help your channel since I’ve seen it as a common comment. Things I still need to research, is sweeping sword only a java thing, uses for dragon breath and why does just sneaking not stop activating those things in the Warden area.

Great tutorial. I have a question. I'm playing the mobile version of Minecraft. How do I get to the menu that tells you what level your beehive is? Will using the shears on a beehive to get the honeycomb destroy it, or can I go back after a while and use it again to collect the honeycomb?

Why am I getting so lucky with the "rare" spawns? My first world in years (4-5 since I last logged on), decided to start playing survival Minecraft. First I spawn right next to a Badlands biome, and then find bees in an old growth birch forest which is apparently rare to see bees there according to this video. Also I put my base near this spot as it was close to the ocean/beach, jungle, plains, kelp right off the shore with plenty of fish... basically perfect. Then I realize the stronghold is basically RIGHT UNDER this base area, so I won't need to risk losing eye of enders and have The End access real close by! And I can get around through the river network easily to my outposts.

I can’t get the bees to use my bee hive. I make the bee follow me and then I place down the beehive where I want it and the bee just flys back to the nest. Any way to fix this?

I think on bedrock the trap door stops the smoke in theory so on consoles don’t have the trap door under the beehive!

Here's my method when harvesting honey : switch to peaceful mode,grab the honey with sheets,campfires aren't necessary. After harvesting switch back to whatever mode you were in before. (Easy,hard,medium,normal etc)

So idk if it's because this video is a year old, but the bees attack me regardless of the set up with the campfire and I did it exactly like you do. There's rarely a moment when they don't sting even with the campfire.And sometimes even though the camper is lit, it doesn't show smoke. I hope someone comes up with a solution to tame bees, cuz I get tired of running for cover every time I harvest. 🫤
