with 24 floors i get about 2000 ingots per hour with this build. it's easy to mine magma blocks and i built it gradually. important note - any falling block will crush eggs, so place eggs from top to bottom when you can or try to do that as much as you can, to prevent loss of eggs :) thanks kelp. getting magma blocks is easy if you have enough potions, just go capture few piglins to trade and use magma cream to make potions, also extend them with redstone to have 8 mins on them.... then just dive into the first lake and dig down/sideways until you hit magma pocket. it takes about 8 stacks for one platform, so almost 200 stacks for 24 floors i could squeeze in :) i opted to spread out chests at the bottom (each chest doubles into two, and I have about 20ish something chests....) so i can afk for 3-4 hours. i still have some problems with farm clogging with meat so i've built 3 out pipes that have 3 filters to take meat out immediately and burn it, and i get only ingots and occasional chicken into the chests. cant' wait for crafters so i could pack nuggets into blocks and finally add a shulker loader onto the end of it; it seems pointless to pack nuggets into shulkers only to craft them later into much smaller blocks... i just pack evertyhing into blocks and then put it in shulkers. 15 shulkers of blocks strong since i've built the farm few weeks back :)

Does this farm still work? My pigs are not falling down.. Im not quite done building it but I am getting scared because I build 25 platforms. Got the bottom 10 layers all done, trapdoors and eggs placed. They all just stand there.. menacingly Edit: The issue was that mob griefing was set to false, I changed it and now everything works. This thing works wonders, just built in 1.21. However, if u are thinking about making an item sorter or even use an autocrafter to make gold bars, just know that this produces so much items that it cloggs up the single line of hoppers very easily, I am considering making 2 separate sorters to try and aliviate the problem.

I built 25 floors and it turned out to be amazing, but i will recommend you to make 15 at most or if you need more , make a bigger gold farm from another tutorial, bcz this farm has a few problems, there's no item sorter ( you can make by seeing a tutorial online , i did it by myself ) , and the other is that , the hopper gets full easily in 10-15 mins , i had to afk 15 mins up there, then afk down so that the hoppers can get empty

This is great, I had the voltrox design with the iron golem before and as of 1.20.2 it isn’t very efficient anymore. I didn’t want to make the super complex dashpum4 (if I wrote that wrong sorry) one, and this was a beautiful happy medium. Also, will this work in 1.20.2?

in 1.21, you can make it so the gold nuggets go into a crafter, which will auto craft gold ingots, then into another crafter that will turn them into blocks

@@losmelliscracks4684 Ill probably make a short video on my channel showing it, since it took me some fiddling around to figure out and sounds pretty complicated, but you have to use an auto sorter to separate the nuggets from the rotton flesh, have the nuggets go into an auto crafter that will always power when reaching 9 slots filled (you can do this by having a comparator going out of the crafter, with another comparator going into that comparator with something that gives off a signal strength of 9, such as another crafter with all 9 slots disabled or a lectern on page 9 of a book) then when the crafter dispenses the ingot, it will go into a hopper which will put them into another crafter with the same set up as the last one, but this crafter will dispense the blocks into a dropper going upwards, which will drop them into hoppers going to chests. In order to power the dropper, just make sure the wiring for the crafter also goes into the dropper, but the dropper will activate after the crafter, such as with 2 repeaters, with the one going into the dropper being at a greater delay. The only issue with this is that because auto sorters use only 1 row of hoppers, the farm will eventually get completely filled and you may need to manually empty the hoppers and put the rotten flesh into the chests

If you use other block, piglins will also spawn filling the mobcap and not allowing zombified piglins spawning anymore. So the farm will stop working and you will need to go 128 blocks away so piglins despawn and then comeback to continue using the farm until it breaks again

if you afk on bottom of the farm (just right on roof) you will add 128 blocks downwards under you (and your farm and the roof) that are spawnable, which will be useless spawns as they are not inside your farm. if you're on top, everything is active UNTIL the roof, but nothing under, so all spawnable spots are only inside your farm.

Just adding my 2 cents here in case it helps anyone else, because I was still having this problem even with all of the trapdoors in place: Make sure you add the trapdoors directly onto the eggs themselves, NOT onto the temporary block underneath them! If you add them to the block, the baby piglins will be able to reach and crush the eggs. EDIT: Actually still having this problem. I have all 16 trapdoors in place on each level, but the baby zombies are still managing to break the eggs. EDIT2: I'm just an idiot, I only had trapdoors around the eggs, not between them on levels. I'll show myself out now.

make such filter that you take out only nuggets and pass everything else to lava or something. i had to split output and filters into 3 streams and even then it sometimes clogs, so at least 3 streams of 7 hoppers per stream and then each of them gets a separate filter on a hopper pipe line. keep the lines separate and join them all 3 into one top chest, then have that chest output to two chests, those two output to 4, 4 to 8, and that's already bottom of the farm and the most you can fit without creative solutions and sourcery

It depends on how quickly you can kill the Piglins i think. If you manage to do it quickly then yes, but then you'd also get gold swords so you have to build an extra Sorting System

build a slime farm and get some blaze rods. ik slime farm isn't easy but if you have already built it you can craft magma cream and magma blocks. Edit: Nvm it is so unefficent, mining all that would be million times faster.

I have built this and ran it for at least 6 hours and I have barely received enough gold to make 6 bars what is wrong with mine? Running it on a private server, 1.20.1, 10 levels. Mob griefing is on. Also when I go down to check chest it's like that's when they all run to the hole, and there's dropbears on several levels what in the world?
