I’ve noticed they started giving out observer blocks, I thought about popping one behind the beacon as soon as someone tries to mine the beacon it changes its state, connect a redstone circuit to a lava trap and it could save the beacon anyone who comes up as dying to lava you run back to base

Don’t know how this could help for a base but there is a cool Minecraft mechanic where you can make stairs look like whole blocks while attached to sticky pistons. This happens when the sticky pistons aren’t extended. However, when extended they become stairs, making it ideal to climb a cliff and enter a base hidden on the side.

You should make a base in the ground as a “decoy base”, and then like 3-5 blocks down do your real base with your beacon. That way when they find your decoy base they think you are already knocked out but in reality your real bases is below.

Ok so here’s the deal. I just got the best base idea known to man. First create a very basic base in the side of a hill or mountain. No where too high, just at sea level. DO NOT PLACE BEACON IN THIS BASE. Next make a fall trap with piston and button. Simple 1x2 at the entrance. Don’t hide the trigger, make it obvious. Now here’s the catch. Raid the base. Dig into the mountain you are hidden at at make it look raided. Your real base will actually be hidden at the bottom of the fall trap, making NO ONE ever find it

I have a few ideas of how to decrease the likelihood of your base being found, the first is to place it in A dark area, this both prevents other players from noticing the base, but if the dark patch is large enough than it would spawn tons of monsters to deter enemies. Second piece of advice, make your base inconvenient to search for, places underwater, really far underground, high up on hills, or extremely cluttered areas such as coral reefs are all great because they make searching generally a slower and thus not worth checking these kinds of spots Three: use biomes to your advantage, biomes such as flower forests, jungles, coral reefs, and various others tend to have lots of large trees and plants covering the ground and making searching through them without a flint and steel generally more undesirable. Four: build under and around generated structures as most people tend to leave most structures intact, of course you must be sneaky about this; however, most generated structures are mostly left alone during these hide or hunts.

Why not build a secret base within a secret base. So when someone discovers the first one, they come down and they find chests, a bed, furnaces, etc. However, this base is a fake one. Then you go into your real one. That way, if someone finds you, they might think it's a base already found and leave
