yeah no, you're straight up lying then. colorblind glasses have been proven MULTIPLE TIMES to not work. glasses won't make your eyes see colours they biologically cannot see (if you were actually colorblind, you'd know your eyes are missing certain cells that make you able to see a color). if you dont have the cell that makes you see green, you'll never see green because your eye will have no idea what green even is.

Theres a day I will never forget, when I was in college. It was in the second year of a BTECH General Art and Design course.. When one of the tutors finally realised that one of the male students attending the art course to train to be professional artists was Colourblind .. His shock and confusion was clear to see and the poor guy had so many questions...It was an unbelievable shame it was left undiagnosed until then he was devastated.. I wonder what he did with his life instead but as far as I recall he left college shortly after..I know that with Chroma glasses he would have been fine I don't think they made them back then..in the later 1980s.

I am so sorry to tell you this, but the glasses do not show you “real” color. They have been proven to be false. They can help you differentiate between certain colors, but not because they show you the real color. They are basically fancy shades which only block out certain wave lengths of light. The only way to see more or “real” color would be if the cones in your eyes were adjusted and/or multiplied. You need to be able to process MORE wave lengths, not LESS. Also, green is NOT darker than yellow and purple is NOT darker than blue. They are just different colors. I can say this in confidence because I am color blind and found out in elementary school during an in class assignment that i didn’t know the difference between blue and purple. I had thought the difference was that purple was darker than blue, but then I had a light purple and dark blue, but I called them the reverse. The reason why purple looks blue and green looks yellow is because your color blindness is a red/green deficiency, which is what I have. We are missing red and green cones, which causes the wave lengths that we can see to shift. So we can’t see the red in purple that differentiates it from blue. Green looks yellow because their wavelengths merge into each other, but we are missing green cones so don’t see the green differentiating it from the yellow. Everything looked darker because your glasses have a darker red tint. This is also why brown looked red to you, because you were viewing it through red lenses. Brown is the combination of all colors, so looking at it through the red lenses restricts many of the other colors besides red. Yes, you can differentiate more, but that’s not because you see more color. It’s because the red lenses block out certain wavelengths thus creating more contrast like Dream mentioned. This is also why you still struggled during the color blindness test, especially with the red hues. Again, the glasses can help you differentiate more, but you’re not seeing more colors, you’re actually seeing less.

@@rivormist it might depend on the type of colorblindness you have. This video acts as if he has 100% colorblindness, and nothing would help there. Not to mention that these glasses got exposed a while ago. (Edit: I didn't read what you said right. However, I still am not sure whether the glasses do anything or not. You can probably also just configure your PC and memorize the color shades.)

The glasses don't fix colorblindness they just help differentiate the colors so George was seeing colors different to how he has been seeing them in the past, not everyone sees colors the exact same way but most people see the same colors but it will be different shades, so they cant fix being colorblind, so he will be able to see that Green is more different to how he has seen it in the past, The reason I think that the he doesn't wear the glasses in other videos will be because he is used to the world in the colors he has been seeing them in and not the ones that the colorblind glasses make him see. So yes he's not seeing colors like a non colorblind person would but he is seeing colors different to how he sees them everyday.
