In case you’re wondering why you were suffocating when you switched from 1.14 to 1.12 is basically because when you downgrade to an older version, your world generation resets and you logon in the same coordinates as where you logged off causing you to logon into a underground area filled with stone, causing suffocation.

true becasue when i had a friend on 1.4.2 i was on 1.15 then i switched for him but then it turn into a whole different world i hope you reply so when i switched i expect to go back to village and take all my items from chest but it was under a montain and whenever i switch from new verison to 1.4 it just puts me back in the same world even if it is a different world on a new verison when i switch it just takes me to the same 1.4 seed i last switched my world to 1.4

also switching old to new doesnt have problems all it happens is it genarates a new biome or it basically gonna be the same but with new genarations

Even though there was no terrain gen change in 1.16, you spawned in an ocean in 1.15. The reason this happened was due to a glitch in Minecraft's code that makes it set the seed to 0 when downgrading a world.

I think you won! You successfully completed everything that the technology allowed you to. That’s a win in my book, even if it’s perhaps a bit unsatisfying to not get the end credits. I have a question. What was your method for downgrading worlds? Did you simply load the world up with a different update version of the launcher, or did you do some file editing? I want to do something like this myself, ideally with the least amount of world resetting as possible, and I’m curious if u have any insight on that

You could get a portal after killing dragon, but in Minecraft versions before 1.9. If you kill dragon in 1.8-, the portal will spawn even in overworld
