its a pretty good mod, with the addition of some common rts features like shift click commands and AI opponents it would honestly be as much fun as age of empires 2 in my book.

ai opponents is what it really needs, tbh as is if youre not playing in multiplayer there is literally nothing to do but place buildings 99% of the time.

@@SIX16ful it also needs some balancing, I played against a friend and he played monsters, after a round of him sending 9 wardens at my base I decided to open a single player world to test that faction, turns out monster faction is INCREDIBLY broken, no other faction can compete.

@@steelixian1705 wouldnt call baldurs gate rts ? its a trun based rpg. games like battle for middleearth, halo wars, company of heroes - thats real time strategy. rts is dead to me cause i consider most games dead boring. i grew up with rts, i play rts until this day but most strategy games are just total war like games. i want games like this mod where you can free build your base and manage your armys, not a huge world map where you run best by auto resolving every battle. many games also destroyed themselves. the last anno game i played had no fighting system, you could not invade your neighbours. so i was out of this game asap.

Would be so cool if you can create your own building schema in regular MC survival, and have the cost be calculated in terms of block and switch between regular survival and RTS overview. That mix or style would be awesome especially for late game survival players to remove the tedious work of building out tons of houses.

I'd love for this to be customizable RTS mechanics wise. Total Annihilation/Supreme Commander/Planetary Annihilation esque resource mechanics in that Food and Energy are farmable and consumed over time. C&C Generals in that you can select certain upgrades while controlling units. Say, you select some Vindicator axemen or the like, then you can pick their upgrade menu and choose the upgrades of specific units. That way you can be granular about outfitting some units with stone, iron, diamond and beyond gear.

i mean not knowing where your units are is a big deal there should be a questing center basically something that puts idle villagers to work on currently happening tasks. There should be a reason to have idle villagers perhaps each villager has skills and a stamina bar and they would also need to rest and eat , then the idle villagers could be the ones that go switch (with the best suited going to take over the job if he is close) or go to the barracks to get made into fighters while you get attacked (basically it auto crafts fighters). Could be cool to have an armory that makes tools and armour for the normal villagers not the fighters those with tools do stuff faster making the freshly made villagers also increase resource usage as they gear up (aka rebuilding after a big defense). They could gear up only after there arent enough idle villagers (aka they all have something to do meaning there is a need to do it faster so some of them free up to go rest). Sure would be a lot of work to do to implement this many sugg, but yeah thats all i can think of that would make the mod feel better.
