List of components needed: • 2 Chests • 1 Water wheel • 1 Mechanical bearing • 4 Mechanical harvesters • 1 Chute • 2 Portable storage interfaces • 5 Wood planks • 1 Shaft (if making sugar cane/kelp farm) • 1 Super glue • 1 Bucket of water • 66 (1 stack + 2) seeds + 28 blocks of your choice if you want a border around it

***For anyone that is commenting about the system not working because the crops and seeds are just being pushed around with the arm*** Ensure that you have a standard-base game-wooden chest on the top of the arm. If the chest is an upgraded chest, or from a mod pack added to your game(like expanded storage), the system will not work. You can still use a modded chest for the chest that all the crops will dump into. TyraLore- fantastic job on the tutorial!

So these are excellent designs for stacking. Each one is 11x11x5 and you can stack them vertically making for efficient farming towers.

Interesting thing ive started doing, in the pistons GUI, and most machines interfaces you can set it to not place blocks unless the anchor is destroyed. So if something does stop the machine it doesnt ruin your farm lands

@swigo yeah, all the movement blocks have some kind of interface. With the minecart assembler you always want to put it to lock rotation for mining, setting the mechanical bearing to not place blocks unless anchor is destroyed will keep your farmlands safe

Ayeee if you read this I need to thank you because with these I made a underground farm super big not with the waterwheel obviously it’s too big but I create an automated shop cause the tomato seeds (farmer’s delight) helped me to sell them in my server and I got so much emeralds (I make emeralds the main money)

Tip: to be able to harvest the blocks directly next to the bearing block, place a fifth (5th) harvester directly on the origin block.

Thanks for the video, i am currently playing vault hunters 3 and this really helped alot for early automatism. But i also have a question. Is it possible to build a farm like this or similar for pumpkins or melons?

For pumpkins or melons, you're better off using mechanical drills on a pole spinning in place (think spikey toilet brush) next to where your melons would spawn. You can expand it by kind of laying it down on its side, so the pole is parallel to the ground. The key is not to let your drills accidentally break your vines, just reach the block. Otherwise, the portable storage interfaces should work as normal.

you actually don't need the 5 wood planks, you can use a barrel as the centerpiece and then Shift+Rclick the harvesters, have them be floating, they're glued together, save on your 5 pieces of wood, lmao if you get tree cutters and deployers you can make a tree farm aswell back in my day we didn't have flat laying waterwheels, so we used case fans with a netherrack fire

Yo, you probably don't need this anymore.. You need to have something the items can go into like chest or barrel(glued on top) if you have that you should be all good, however if you want it to go into a different chest storage make sure you have a way of transferring those items I use "portable storage interface" glue one on top and make sure there is a block of space between the second one.. The second one will be put facing the first one and using funnels you can transfer those items into chest , there are probably different ways but this is imo the most begginer friendly option
