Amazing farm! I found 2 layers a little slow, but at least 4 layers works awesome! I haven't tried on different difficulties because I'm doing it on my hardcore world, but 4 layers, hard mode, simulation distance 5 chunks and building it high (so that mobs don't spawn on the ground or in caves) works amazing! Went from 5 gunpowder to like 40 in about 10 minutes. It also gives you a lot of xp which repairs my elytra :D

Not getting any spawns In my Java (Realms) server for some reason. I have: Followed all instructions in video. I did build 2 extra layers. I made sure there was no light. Changed distance to 5 chunks My farm starts at Y level 210 Put signs in my water so they didn't freeze. Played with just myself and a friend. Nothing is spawning yet and I'm not sure why?

​@@zeerexbuilds yes, the process is the same, however there is an upper limit of how many mobs can spawn around you. If you have caves underneath ect. you will be limited by the spawn rate no matter how tall you build the farm

My simulation is 5 I’m in a paper server and it works great even in a high player paper server. At first I thought it didn’t work but if you look inside the actual big box u can see a bunch of creepers in there just give them time to fall down to the killing area!!

I'm using this with 4 layers on my multiplayer server, and whenever I'm the only one online, it works great, but when someone else is online alongside me, the farm slows down dramatically, even when the person stands next to me (so the ticked chunks are the same as when I'm the only one online).

Things you need to know before making this farm: 1. I highly recommend putting cats in this farm, it makes it run much faster 2. DON’T make this on a mountain try to find an elevation where it is about 60 or sea level (or just build it above an ocean) 3. Make multiple layers, I put 5 on mine and this increased the drops a ton 4. If you want to make this automatic then make and afk platform a couple blocks higher then the farm and put campfires above the hoppers 5. Use looting 3 Hope this helps anyone making this farm!

i was only getting 1 every 5 mins, but the second the other player came up there with me, they started spawning like 15~ a minute with 5 layers. i think the issue is other players in the server taking up spawns, it works most efficiently if you are the only one online or all players are at the spawner

Really good farm. For me tho, the 2 layers was just too slow so I added 8 more layers and added cats to every layer. I get around 1700 gunpowder per hour. Thanks for the tutorial!

issue found: if you’re building this on a cold biome (stony shores, frozen peaks or any biome that might snow), there is a big chance that your water source might get frozen. a solution i found was to replace the block that you will put your water source on with glowstone. though it might hinder the spawn rate on that area but you can just add another layer to compensate

sorry, but you don't have to build it on the sea, just make sure set your difficulties to hard and world simulation distance to 5. And if you build the farm on the land, you have to put torches below the farm

The reason it is at 190 is to avoid caves, even if you are on the ground, as long as there's no caves, you're good.
