Minecraft - Desert House Tutorial (How to Build)

Typically in desert homes, to keep the indoors cooler, the floor was actually lower than the outside level, and a step down to enter is common, so rather than lifting the building up on foundation, or keeping it level, you'd get much more style and immersion by digging one, or even 2 blocks into the ground. You can also play with grass and leafy roofs

I can't wait to see what you come up with for mushroom island biome. My family has our home base on one, and I'm at a complete loss as to how to build in a way that doesn't look ridiculously out of place. I've been farming mangrove wood alot because the red seems to go nicely... but otherwise I'm stumped. Doors aren't even really necessary, unless the occasional Mooshroom visitor gets annoying XD

Just finished this up in my survival Realms world. It’s not in the desert but on a sandy beach overlooking the ocean as a mostly-aesthetic addition to my base. Just before this, I built the mesa one which is incredibly similar, but I built that one in a different world. Since these are small houses, especially compared to the profession houses on this channel, maybe I’ll modify these to make villager houses.
