This can also work with a villager, if your outpost is in desert / savanna and the golem dies. Just make sure to put observers above the entire thing and make the trapdoors on each side. this will work, trust me

I added twisted vines with string above them to the spot before the trap doors so the pillagers don't struggle to get into the hole. I put 3 bottom slabs above that to prevent them from climbing it.

Build a redstone repeater on top of the trap doors. Then, place the snowman. Immediately after the snowman spawns on the farm, fly up to the top of the farm and go AFK. If you do that, the snowman won't die until you come down. Torches and crossfire will kill him.

You may be in a hot temp biome like a Desert, Badlands or savannah. Snow Golems can't exist in those biomes
