How did you and shulker get the sticky piston to turn on farm BUT leave the noteblock in top position w/o retracting back? It's a sticky piston! If not used in a restone circuit, that's its only "job".

This design allows grass to regrow quickly. If you don't need the on/off switch, you don't have to build the bottom layer, just put the note block between 2 pumpkin lamps

For everyone wondering why their farm doesnt work, try checking if you have mobgriefing ON in the gamerules, or else it wont work. mobgriefing makes the grass turn to dirt when eaten by a sheep, which is needed for the farm to work

@@spielside8 this youtuber is offering much clearer instructions to all the best ideas the community comes up with, yes its not his original design but many of the smarter builders in minecraft aren't necessarily able to teach others how to be able to build and use it in their own worlds. He credits the original crafters at least. I understand your veiwpoint I just wanted to point out this as well, its a service hes providing. Tip: Place the grass blocks immediately after the sheep (before you put the glass) is in the farm, this would make it so that the sheep can not jump out

tip: make sure the observers ARE FACING THE RIGHT WAY, especially the ones that need to face the rails. also make sure that when it’s flicked on, the note blocks are in between the pumpkins

Made this farm in my survival world a few weeks ago and has been working well. Just one tip. Enderman proof everything around the farm. Just AFKed this farm for 20 hours and came back with 4 endermans in the farm, dirt blocks everywhere and all sheeps on the loose. Now I am wondering if I should tare it down or rebuild it or try to figure out what block goes where and how to get the sheeps back in :(

It has more grass per sheep, making it faster for the same amount of sheep. If you want to make it as big as possible amount of sheep is limiting factor

sorry if this is too late, I had the same problem with the farm, but I figured that since I put some baby sheeps instead of grown sheeps into the farm, they grew into the trapdoor thus the dispenser couldn't detect their hitbox. To solve this I had to open up bits of the glass layer and the grass layer above, and push the sheeps in.

Why the hell is this so complicated and expensive. I made one which just needed 20 observer, 20 dispenser, 1 minecart with hopper and 2 hopper and a few rails and 2 stacks of glass. Simple as heck and similar results.
