Bedrock User Tips: 1) can’t place kelp on submerged soul sand. Solution: place kelp on dirt block then quickly replace dirt with soul sand once done with all kelp. 2) campfires will extinguish, Solution: extend scaffolding by 4 more blocks, then place campfires down.

@@holdenwildeman5246the kelp helps the bubbles travel all the way up to the top whereas without the kelp, the bubbles only go a few blocks up. You’re essentially guiding the bubbles to the top with the kelp.

You can actually just put a TNT and a sand on top of the TNT and it will explode and break blocks underwater. I think it's simpler than placing dirt around it and activating it with a Redstone block.

1.20.6 Java edition here! Just built this! I went through more potions cause i am kinda a nervous nelly and wanted to follow it exactly. Glad to say that it was honestly so straight forward and simple that I was done within like maybe a half hour. TIPS: 1. Instead of using kelp at all, you can also use regular blocks of ice. Just place them in the middle of the scaffolding column up to the top and then break them with a tool that does NOT have Silk Touch. 2. I did notice with the videos afk platform placement, quite a few guardians were spawning on the side of the monument wrather than the middle. Granted, this is a smaller and simpler farm, so efficiency issues are to be expected. Not a big deal! All I did was run my afk platform a bit closer to the middle of the monument and now the spawns seem to be a bit more aligned with the farm area. 3. Adding a few more chests for storage doesnt hurt if you want to collect more stuff. I made 9 just cause I tend to afk for a while, overnight sometimes. This just helps collect more materials. 3 chests with this farm are gunna fill up real quick lol

Sort of similar the Cortezerino's concept but with this one you can send them up a little higher and set up an xp killing area as well if you want. But then you'd need a regen beacon etc but still nice.

Built this farm and modified it for xp, works very well. If anyone wants to mod it for xp, send the guardians to the afk spot and tweak the un alive chamber so players get the xp. Just make sure to set a few beacons up to prevent damage from starving

There are better food sources than cooked fish. You'd be better off trading the raw fish to Fishermen.

Very simple with minimal tweaks. Just build the original pillar up to the same height as the AFK platform and build a killing chamber with hoppers covered by carpets and a slab to swing your sword for kills rather than campfires.

Does it matter what I do with the monument below? I have one that I was thinking of making a Guardian farm with, but it is in Bedrock. I also have it pretty intact with a Conduit centered below the whole monument to facilitate any work I do.I men I might just dry it out on the inside and convert it to a base or a storehouse.

@@ACasualNameGames yes, guardians spawn in bubble columns, otherwise this farm would've been pretty useless ;) Also, if you're going to drain the momument anyway, mights as well make a small perimeter around it, and make a "fish-tank" for them to spawn and push them to a kill chamber.

Honey only removes certain debuffs, the mining curse not being one of them. Bc Mojang makes sure Minecraft is as complicated as possible 😂

Now, I've made a new farm in survival which works fine and also good for xp collection. JC plays channel have uploaded that farm, i replicated it and it worked on bedrock. So, for bedrock playes i suggest making that farm. And make that farm with peaceful difficulty mode. So, no invisibility potions will be required for that farm and after making it, change your difficulty back to normal or hard(important step) as only then your farm will work properly.

In bedrock, the distance of the afk platform depends on a setting you choose at the start (4, 6, 8 or 10). So you have to move your afk platform according to that, so squids dont spawn outside the bubble area. Im assuming thats why it failed.

@@generalen2377 16 x 6 so 96 blocks up. But I did some research after, Bedrock spawning points are fixed, this design does work but it's not very efficient. I ended up building one made by JCplayz, 8 months ago the upload. I recommend that one, also does not require draining, just a little more block placing underwater but it's worth it. Build it in peaceful difficulty.

It’s pretty ridiculous. We made an old school one, and cleared out the temple. Then ran a hopper line down into it, and built a massive sorter in my old world. We had multiple chests for each, and turned the temple into a base, with an auto glass door, among other things.

Not much for this farm, as the limiting factor is actually the kill rate (notice how backed up it gets with guardians as he AFKs) not keeping up (and thus the spawn cap getting filled). Also, most of the spawn area is being excluded just due to the AFK platform being so high. The first step to improve rates for this farm would be to lower the kill chamber down so that the guardians take a big hit of fall damage on their way down onto the fires. You might get some despawns before death that way, however. You could also do dispensers with splash Harm II potions on a slow clock to help clear the farm every few minutes as it gets clogged up if you have a good supply of easy Harm II potions (some witch farms produce Health potions to convert or if you have tons of extra gold from a good gold farm).
