I have made another redstone tutorial for you guys, today I'v made a vary fast cobblestone generator (around 64 in 60 seconds) I have made this as efficient as I think possible. You also get 100% of the blocks you mine and the are pushed right to you so you never even have to move.
I hope you all enjoy! :D

Glad you like it! I'v been trying to use Bud switches more to make things faster and automatic. I would love see the bud switch you have been using. I'm always ready to learn more about redstone.
@faneb
@faneb 11 жыл бұрын
I've made cobble generators like this before, and I have a simple improvement to suggest (one I've already utilised). It is thus: loop the redstone output of the BUD switch back into the block the redstone torch is mounted on, with a repeater for delay (3 ticks should prevent torch burnout). This way, when the pistons have reached their maximum distance and a cobble block is therefore keeping the BUD switch constantly on, the feedback creates a timing loop. This constantly resets the circuit without any user intervention, meaning you never have to push a button; the system always automatically restarts.

That is a really good idea, Thanks for the input.
@DeathxStrike18

what you are talking about is a clock once you loop it within itself with the repeater it no longer acts like a BUD, also the redstone extender is not needed the power would extend with only needing one repeater not 5. and you can also use one lava bucket with two water having one on both sides as it will flow in both directions from the source block

I really like this generator design! I like what you did with the circuits and it gave me the idea to build it on one of my ps3 maps. I have too many maps... >_< But anyway, I'll just go through the list and get rid of the ones I have no use for. This generator will really help me out in the long run, because I'm working on a castle in my main map.

I really liked your thought on making two rows (definitely increases cobble for minute), but it is kinda big and beefy, I made a video on very small one row one, but I really liked the 2 row idea.

I have a design that's really simple all u need is a Redstone clock that's about 10 or so ticks long and hook it up to a piston pushing out the cobble from a regular generator, stand in the right spot and u can use an eff 5 pick and a haste 2 beacon and just sit there and instant mine the stuff. really simple

you make an inverter by placing a block with a torch on one side and redstone dust running into the block from the other side. do you play on the xbox? you might have to run the redstone dust on top of the block before the pulse extender. but i'm not 100% sure because I have made this thing three times and never had that problem.

I like it, very nicely done! I think it is easier & cheaper when done vertical as follows: See "Minecraft QASI: An even easier way to kill the wither (1.4.6)" by CodeCrafted for basic design tutorial. Place downward sticky piston for generator 15 blocks above where you want to mine from. Modify timer with an extra spacer block (powered) where the circuit connects to the generator, and run as much redstone dust perpendicular to this spacer as you want (spacer is first of this line). Should look like this when sliced along x or z-axis: Y1= y+15: (block-lava source-downwards sticky-redstone torch-powered spacer block-timer circuit) Y2= y+14: (block-space-generated block-water source-block) Y3= y+13: (block-block-generated block-block-block). Attach a lever to timer to lock/unlock timer if desired. Get below and mine up as new blocks get pushed down automatically as soon as you mine any generated blocks! I use 3 slices with efficiency-3, and it keeps up just fine... but scale it as you see fit!

NinjaCam_ maybe using hoppers beneath the cobble instead of (in his case) stone brick, you could transfer the cobble into the hoppers then have furnaces below that, it would automatically smelt as long as you have coal inside the furnace then connect it to an accessible chest

The design I did a tutorial for yesterday is about that quick. 3.5 stacks of cobble and a stack of stone every 2mins. I hooked mine upto an auto stone smelter. Once the overflow chests start filling, its other furnaces kick in, making it twice the smelting speed, smelting a stack of stone every minute.
