I really like that this pack gives you the option of skyblock or flat land. Skyblocks make me irrationally nervous, and I feel like I would actually enjoy playing this on a flat world map.

The reason the small wheels exist is because they have double the speed but half the strength, so you wanna put a small one on the front of the big ones to double the total speed

If by strength you mean SU then yes , small water wheel makes less SU but more RPM. Also placing a small water wheel in front of big ones is the same result as upgearing it with gear ratios like he did it in the video, but a bit easier.

Suggestion to the double saw issue with them spinning without using a gearbox: Encased Chain Drives. Far cheaper (one Andesite Casing + 3 Iron nuggets) and they'll always spin the same direction.

If you need to smelt lots of raw iron you can craft 9 raw iron to a block of raw iron and smelt 1 iron block at a time and you can use the blast furnace for faster ore smelting

You can condense your cog ratio by adding andesite casings over the large cogs. Felt like a game changer when I learned that. Doesn't even use up the casing to do so.

@@kooskoos1234 by placing the andesite casing on the large cog, it allows you to place the small cog directly in front of the previous large one. The casings prevent the shafts on the cogs from touching, therefore allowing you to place the cogs in front of one another and not break due to speed differences.

With the create waterwheels, the smaller one has half the power, but double the speed. Especially useful in the early game where you can just set it to one machine and have acceptable speed. Great for encased fans btw. The larger one is easier to use in batch for creating one single power source to hook up multiple starter machines. Keeps you going until you can get a steam boiler.

If you have big ones and one smaller one. All of the big ones will spin at the speed of the smaller one as well. You will need one less gear shift in that case.

Couple of tips for early game: 1. You can use an andesite casing on cogs and if you use it on the large cogweels you can put cogs against eachother without them breaking. 2. Instead of gearboxes, you can also use large cogwheels to shift turn horizontal into vertical rotation

I would highly suggest getting tons of ender drawers and just using them on as the input and output for production lines, having just a single block that links things like that is so good, i've automated so much in such a compact space with this.

The two different tiers of water wheel is because the smaller one is used for a small machine (usually for crop farms) and can’t increase the stress and the large one can handle more stress by adding more water wheels together.

Use at least 1 small water wheel to get the full speed. big water wheels give more su but are double as slow. with 1 small water wheel it will hold that speed while u upgrade the others to big wheels and get even more of them to get the su u need. but u also need the speed. best is to use the small water wheel for that befor u gonna do the cog ratio.
