I recently started playing minecraft with my fiancé, and I wanted to build a pretty house for us, which I decided on this. In the beginning, it was going all smoothly, until I encountered my first meltdown. In the picture for the build Layout, he puts 9 x 24, but then I realized he actually didn't count the red squares, making it 11 x 26, which already put me in distress, but I moved on. Then, as it goes, I tried my best to stay sane, but whenever I thought things were finally getting to the end, he put even more details out of nowhere lol. Mind you, I was doing it everything in survival, so I couldn't just fly wherever I wanted. And then, finally! We were going to do the interior, but then.... literally only did some small details.. and left me a gigantic house to decorate inside, with no ideas or things that would look good or fit, now I have to look for interior designs myself. Honestly, no hate to the creator, props to them for having such a wonderful idea of a minecraft house, with the most beautiful details I've ever seen! But I really wish they could've helped with the interior more. Anyways, all the best to you!

@@MMMew2paradise to be honest, I didnt do much stuff. My fiance on the other hand, did like a bedroom in the 2nd story, with like a huge wall of spruce trapdoors. Under the house we put ours chests, enchantment table and some other things. I kinda gave up on the interior for a while lol Happy Christmas BTW!!

I did it with survival mod and it was really cool and gave a nice look to the area and the tutorial was very clear but the house was really tiring from collecting resources to placing them but the fatigue was worth it 😀

This tutorial was one of the easiest to follow of anything ive ever seen. That being said, parts felt really out of order, like putting rose bushes before the roof lol. However thats just a nit pick of mine, i love this house, thanks for sharing

@Nathoz the other count is 11, I messed up my roof bc I got it wrong but I made it work and fit The side wall is 11 not 12 I had to count each individual block to actually get a correct count. I guess capy doesn't include the red wool he put down? Not sure why tho

It’s a cool build, but I’m noticing a repetitive trend with the exposed timber frames for the walls. I did end up following the layout but rather than the same design choices you could experiment with different styles of timber frames. ^-^ (Timber frames are the “upside down T shape” by the roof that gives the house its medieval style.) I’d also say you could try exploring a bit more detail work. A friend of mine noted that the front of the house is good but the back is very flat. (If my previous phrasing offended anyone but the intended audience just ignore the comment and save us both time)

⁠​⁠ Because 1, I cannot “build” by that I mean a layout of any kind that would pass as decent. 2, I’m just giving honest critique based on what I know and have learned over time. And 3, There’s literally nothing wrong with admitting you like something but there’s a particular thing that throws you off. Just bc I don’t like the design choices they made does not mean I they’re incompetent as a builder. Also finally I was watching this on my phone so I could barely see the details on thumbnail my only thought was “oh nice size, cool roof.”

Replace dark oak with spruce and use textured stone instead of stripped logs, to match the aesthetic of the automatic brewer house in the world. Check if it looks good in world edit first

Remember that the red blocks are not included in the numbers. For example the 9 block long side is 11 blocks long if you consider the red blocks. Might be tricky hope I could help
