The way the looped Cooked Chicken one works is that they have a ton of Portals from the Immersive portals mod placed down. The Immersive portals mod has 2 portals every time you make a new portal, one for each side, so you can remove one side and make the weird things that they did. Like a block which is a wall on one side, and a doorway on the other
