i'm glad to see this series start. it already looks like its gonna be a good one. the idea of tackling a raid with boats is something i've never thought of. i'm scared of them TBH. one thing i will say, since you're working on building, is that you've really perfected the Tudor/medeival style house. regardless of the materiel you use, it looks fantastic. have you considered moving on to a different style? or are you just really happy with this one. playing around with roof shapes more, even.

I consider Jev as a master of game mechanics and mega bases and love that. But oh, I'm all in whenever he builds a cozy, detailed area. He always takes you through the whole thing in a very effective way. I absolutely love this. Thanks for giving us a great video during the holiday weekend. I hope yours is magical.

With regards to you starting and discontinuing series, I really don't blame you and fully relate; there's nothing quite like the excitement of a fresh new world, exploring the random terrain and structures and getting set up. Many series = many new beginnings, which I love watching you experience every time! I wish you luck with staying motivated / managing your own expectations and persevering on a single world though. I'm super looking forward this series (and S10 when that time comes) now you're distancing yourself from megabases to focus on what makes you happy in the game :D Also, goodluck with the diamond challenge!!

Jev, I just finished watching this again, maybe during the raid, you could have sped up the footage a little bit instead of jump cutting so we can still see you take those hits. It felt like you missed a little bit of visual drama. I love your art and ever since you started building for you, at your own pace, etc., to overcome burnout, your videos have really been solid. Thanks for sticking with it.

If the space is available a really cool addition to the "sink" in the outside storage area is to make the block the tripwire hook is on and the 2 next to it into stairs instead. You can either just block it up on the inside or trapdoor wallpaper it. Finally waterlog the 2 outer stair blocks thus creating an infinite water source and giving the ability to have a "working faucet" in addition to the decorational water in the cauldron below. I have been making a point to try and make all decorational sinks be useful to the player and not just the eyes. It also greatly improves the quality of life while working in the area, as every sink is a water source for whenever you need water. So much better than having to go outside and out to the closest body of water.

I was gonna say, sometimes snow biome villages have the igloos that have a "basement", but you found it already. That's awesome! I find that if you want beginners emeralds, you trade with fletchers. Then I trade with farmers, but that's just me. Then I make a blacksmith and blast furnace. This looks like an awesome video! Stay frosty!

Quick tip for building spruce trees is that if you use fences for the tree you have to cover the upper half of the tree you can leave four to three fences exposed on the fourth place one on each side of the tree above that you use three by three leaves on the tree until you reach your desired height add one on each side on the top go up three to two on each side of the tree in the middle go up until you reach three higher then the side leaves on the top of the spruce tree on the side of the tree in the middle on each side place tree to four leaves higher or lower in the middle of the after that it's a finished product hope you have a good day with this you can make many of these trees around your world it might not look good sometimes but it is what it is now. If you use logs for the tree make it see through a little bit as you go up building the tree make it quite large for some of them for the best look from far away but sometimes it looks weird to some people also with this tree you mudbrick walls for thinner beaches to widen the tree more for the most aesthetic finish for the tree as you build up use fences for the top of the tree so it look the a tip of a real life spruce tree hope this help with improving tree builds in the future thank you.

Just at the beginning of the video still but I wanted to say as much a mega builds look cool I much prefer small to medium builds and the world building that can be done with that. I would think as a creator it would also be nice to be able to bounce from build to build and keep it fresh for themselves. In the end do what makes you the most happy and that makes content creation fun for you Jev.
