As much as I love hermitcraft and its social interactions, as a solo player its enjoyable to see how other single players build up their world, balance out the building and exploring and creat lore and storytelling.

I love single player Minecraft episodes. I’m in my 30s now and I have been watching hermitcraft since season 3 and I am unable to keep up on it. I don’t have the time anymore. I miss being able to watch so many of you but I just feel lost now and always behind. Hope you keep up the series!
@johanlahti84Ай бұрын
I have the exact same problem. Started in Season 3 with a few of the hermits, subbed to more and more of em. But started to fall behind and mostly hop on some of the hermits solo series now. Easier to follow along when time is a factor

I’m glad you’re continuing this series! These are very enjoyable and helpful for someone who plays alone and is looking for ideas and help in learning the game

I don't know if I am unusual, but I love watching the early game stuff. I like seeing players explore a new world and find a spot for a base. I like watching them grow simple farms and build simple buildings. I like the collection of animals and beautifying. Although I am always impressed with redstone contraptions, I can't do it myself. I would start a new single player frequently just to get the new experience.

Whatever brings Jevin energy in the game is what I want to see. What parts are the most fun and exciting for you? Can you decorate for Christmas? What do you enjoy about single player? What makes Jev Jev? Anything you want to learn or practice or just chilling? What does chilling look like for you.
@ProjectKhopeshАй бұрын
Heartily seconded. I watch these guys because it's fun to see what they enjoy. That genuineness is one of the best things to show, especially as bigger entertainment companies are so facile, overproduced and political.
@soomiАй бұрын
I would love to watch you in a solo series, because I feel you have the right vibe and energy for it. Don't worry about Hermitcraft. I am normally one of those people who tunes in for Hermitcraft only for a lot of hermits, but for me you're one of the stronger solo players who can really hold up a solo series. No shade to other hermits before, just personal preference! I'd love to see a certain few more Hermits have solo stuff. It's so refreshing!

I do like to watch singleplayer. It helps me learn how to do the things that I usually rely on having other people to help with...except that I seldom have any friends available to play with. I suck at combat and always will, but watching you speedrunning taught me enough that a few months ago, for the first time in all my years playing, I finally killed a dragon in survival and actually got an elytra and shulker shells!

I love it, Jev. Hermitcraft is fun, but I think few people who watch it feel like they can get to that level, if you know what I mean. This is like a normal play-yhrough, Jevin style, which is incredibly fun but somehow feels more "achievable." I learn most of my Minecraft things from these kinds of videos. I will watch the crap out of the series.

I would love to see an exploration series where you venture out from your spawn base with just your armor and tools and when you see something fun or amazing, you set up a small base and explore. You also set up a nether route back to spawn. When you’re done exploring that area, you go somewhere new! If inspiration strikes you for a build somewhere, build it and then set up a nether route to spawn. And remember to label things!

I'm a big fan of server (like Hermitcraft) play because I love the social interactions and collaborative builds. BUT I also really love watching solo LP's because it's fascinating to see what you might prioritize as a single player and what Minecraft is like for different people. I'll be sticking around for both series. Also - I don't know that I've ever seen a stronghold bisected with a mineshaft before, that's wild!

I watched your previous single player to learn tips on how to play in my own world. The more I get experience with Minecraft, the less I have appetite for beginner-tip style content, but dang there is something I love about early game. It’s charming to play, its charming to watch. I don’t know if I will retain interest long term, but I am here for this right now! Let’s see how it goes! Update: already learning stuff! I never fully understood how to do the water bucket portal and you explained it so much more easily ! ❤

Yay! The single player is back! As someone who watches a few single player series, albeit modded (*Cough cough* Chosen Architect primarily), I like single player. It feels I guess smaller scale, which is quite nice. (Don't get me wrong, I adore Hermitcraft. It's a big SMP (the scale clearly shows), and the interactions are great. But there is something about singleplayer that makes it more laidback and comfy. Maybe it's my biases speaking there as I've only ever played Singleplayer.) Mentioned my thoughts in that post a while back regarding feedback. The only thing that comes to mind is trying to stay committed with projects already beginning. I understand though, it's hard to balance. Like I said before, you do you mate, as long as you are having fun. :D Sidenote, sped up sounds are neat. Why do the endermen sound so chittery when sped up? XD Edit: I want to reemphasize this, for me, I enjoy quite a lot of things. (I'm not picky with stuff.) I like Hermitcraft, but I also like single player (Modded, vanilla, doesn't matter), other games and the like. This is just my thoughts as a general viewer. If you ask me to pick one over the other though, then uh... there's an argument you will never hear an answer from, as I can't decide. XP

I'm all for a chill, casual single player world! But if you're finding yourself feeling like you're just going through the motions, I would highly recommend you switch over to this years April Fool's snapshot: The Potato Update. I was really really hoping more of my favorite content creators would cover it for more than just a day after April first, but no such luck. It's actually a pretty in-depth update with lots of cool new mechanics that I think would actually fit the vanilla game. At the very least, there are some objectives it presents for you to work towards and loads of fun new stuff to play with, so I don't think you'd struggle to find things to do for a good while. Honestly, I'd love to see the Hermits play it on a server too.

I like SMP (which is how I play) so that you can fully be yourself in whatever way you want. You can have a certain energy when you're the center of attention vs. trying to do content for the sake of the server or your fellow hermits. Do what you love in Minecraft and all the worries of the future will fade away.

I like the single player series because it gets you thinking outside the box and trying things. I hope the single player series happens on occasion when you need to recharge from hermitcraft epic ness. How do you want it to be different? Different creators on hermitcraft use single player for different things. Bdubs uses single player to stretch his builder muscles. Others use it for creative building, others use it for speed running, what do you like to do that you want to share with us?

I'm a very new fan, I started watching all the hermits at the start of Season 10 (up to date on everyone's episodes!) Personally, I don't like time lapses without music, like when you walked in the End to get your elycktra (i don't know how to spell that). I loved watching your joy building your nether portal and impressed at how quickly you took out an Ender dragon. Right now this series feels directionless. I'm very interested in the creative process and seeing where you'd like to go from here. It needs to be an idea you enjoy but maybe your fans could offer theme suggestions? You also naturally drop little Minecraft tidbits and advice about the game which is part of your charm and why I watch your videos.

I am in day 6359 of a single player world, Seed 1. My base is at the bottom. I have a combo mob farm/iron farm that I had to repair several times because of creepers, it is now all obsidian. I am currently creating a 200 x 200 perimeter centered on that farm down to the bottom with 4 beacaons on Haste II. My grandson got me into Minecraft 2015. This is about my 6th world started Feb 2, 2023. Updated to 1.21, use a few mods, been to the nether, defeated the dragon, have a few shucker boxes, been to a trial chamber ( no mace yet). Have not been to other places in the world. Mostly like strip mining. Have a huge mostly manual storage area.

I will say, the rush to get diamond gear with enchantments and kill the dragon all in one episode is what I don't like personally. I love the slow grind and exploration that turns into project builds. There's a place for speedruns and they don't fit in a casual playthrough, in my opinion. I love Hermitcraft, but with everyone striving to make bigger, more extreme builds, it's getting harder to keep up with everything. I loved Building with Bdubs and Iskalls solo vault series because it was them having fun and welcome a solo Jev world. Season 8 was glorious. There were amazing builds, but there were also way more relaxed interactions between everyone. Not endless "lore" to create forced interactions, but actually felt like a bunch of friends on a server having fun and doing something they love.
