Qotd: as a person whose played MC since the very beginning, I would love to see what the hermits would do with an older version, maybe even the first version. I think that they would probably do a lot more shenanigans due to the lack of major building materials, but I also love seeing what new mega builds come out of each new version and what they all can think of. It’s hard to say.

You can cheese the wither in bedrock in the overworld anywhere you like using silentwispers obsidian trick. I'm too scared to try it though. Bedrock wither is no joke.

QOTD: honestly, playing a recent version like 1.18 would make sense, but just consider seeing all the hermits play an older version... like the hermits have gotten used to having so many blocks and so many resources readily available or easily farmable, so let's amp up the difficulty and remove those. Imagine how cool it would be to see old school red stone back as well!

I’m obviously really excited to see gameplay in 1.19 but I think it would be really cool to see all the hermits struggle to get by in a really early version.

QOTD: I totally would go for the newest stable Version for the next Hermitcraft Season. I totally would love to see what laggy things Mumbo Laggo and DocM77 could do with sculk sensors in their redstone builds. Additional the newer Versions feature bigger color pallet of blocks, then older Versions, so I totally love the design possibilities for builders like Scar and Grian. With the sculk sensors I imagine the crazy contraptions build by Zedaph also might get more insane.

QOTD: Honestly, I'd pick 1.16, specifically because I want to watch Hermitcraft do another modded season, and I know Create (everyone's favorite modpack) was built for 1.16. I know Tango's waiting for the skulk update to do Decked Out 2, but imagine what he could do for Decked Out 1.5 with Create!

1.19 beta frog lights as there is a lack of lighting options for the bases and that would be awesome to have an extra block.

It seems like you might be using MiniHud for the light level mod. There's another mod from the same person that made MiniHud and Litematica called Tweakeroo, which allows you to toggle a lot more options like particles and such. It has a lot more options than anyone would ever need as well, but I use it for turning off particles

I've always had terrible luck with lines of repeaters as timers. Hopper clocks are far more reliable, especially while loading/unloading chunks.

QOTD: I know it’s 8 mo’s later but this is too interesting of a question for me not to weigh in on. If I was watching hermitcraft I’d want to see 1.19 because I’m not the one playing. But if I had to pick my favourite version I’d honestly pick one of the older ones, like 1.16 or 1.17. The new terrain generation kinda takes away from the gameplay imo just because of the sheer amount of tiny surface crevices there are to fall in now. It sounds like a minor gripe but I find that it seriously affects the enjoyableness of early game exploration so you don’t end up setting up your first base where you really want it. It makes it hard to really enjoy your surroundings early game which is demotivating. The dramatic overhangs and rolling hills you see in 1.16 are familiar and satisfying, particularly in the windswept hills and forests, and that makes me keep playing in that version. Deepslate is a pain to mine early game too and strip mining in1.16 is easier than diamond mining in deepslate in the later versions. I’m sure I’m not the only one who feels this way and am faithful that there will be some tweaks to these issues in 1.20 and future versions to bring back some of these benefits at least so we can have the best of the 1.19 version and the 1.16 combined.

Yes, if you have an automated item farm, it gives you all of those items. It is exp that you can’t earn without killing them yourself.

No ones mentioning the bees... I noticed on my friends server the bees in the generated and loaded areas seem to just wonder off into on direction. We lost like 15 bees and found them a good 500+ blocks away. I think they have an issue when their hive/nest is full or when another bee shoves another to the side to pollinate. I'm not sure what's really happening but I have seen swarms of bees far away from biomes where they can spawn. Somethings up with them so I have been keeping all my bee stuff indoors...

QOTD: I play on Bedrock (but I also have Java) with my friends and we always try the newest update first. So 1.18 right now, we could play 1.19 experimential snapshot with the Warden and the Deep Dark Caves and stuff but we wanna experience same as others!

I think it would be fun to play with the create mod for season 9 in 1.18. Great part is it only adds to vanilla doesn’t change it. So those that don’t want to use it, it’s still vanilla Minecraft.

I would love to see a hermitcraft season on a really old version such as 1.5 or 1.8.9 that would be soo awesome because the game was much much simpler and id love to see how the evolved building skills, technical skills of the hemits would play on the super old versions. perhaps revisiting the version used in the first hermitcraft season?

#QOTD i would choose actually 1.18 no doubt 1.18 has insane terrain, but it's kinda annoying to navigate early game. Though I would certainly not play in there, but hermits are just at the next level, they can make anything good, and if it is good already, they would make it insane and straight up epis

The new terrain and caves kind of seem to have screwed up mob spawns, they have hardly been bothering the hermits at all in the interseason episodes. The new caves look awesome but the proportion of spawnable spaces that can reach the player must have gone way down.

dude you make killing the dragon like that so easy. i've literally been trying this like 20 times in a row now.. fail every time. the dragon either just destroys the bed because im too late. or the damaage the beds do is not enough to kill the dragon. and then i wait for ever for him the perch again..
