Episode 12 of a let's build series in which I want to build a whole city quarter with you!
Alot of things will be explained while building, but it is not a tutorial.

My original theory was that this let's build would be done by 2018 with the old level of progress, however, with this new level, I have revised my new estimation of completion to 2081

I remember when I was maybe 11, I sat down and learned this technique, eventually mastered it and learned how to detail and improve it massively. Madnes64 used to teach me, now I could teach him a lot. I guess that would make him happy to see he started me out on this path

I love how almost all you use is wood and gray blocks, but you still build very good

Maybe you could build an external trade post/ customs house/central trade post(often a large and beautiful house outside a city built to manage and monitor ingoing and outgoing trade)/trade cluster ( a collection of travelling merchants that set up their wares outside cities) /farm network(like a central trade post, but deals with farming)/external barracks/internal barracks(built to be the last stand of a city. Often like a fortress built into the walls or in an inaccessible back area of a city) but don't feel obliged to... Keep up the good work. I love ur videos. It's inspired me to start building a city

That city is gorgeous. I still think you should add dungeons and secret passageways that connect to the sewer systems also alchemist huts and doctors houses would be cool too ;)

I am glad you're being conscious of negative space even if you can't think of the word for it. Soooo many builders throw visual balance right out the window in favor of detail-spam :P

Your Medieval buildings are unbelievably awesome. I'm also glad you finally added some simplicity in you town. By the way, do you watch other KZbinrs? If you do, I'd suggest watching Jamziboy. He does a good job at building in Gothic. I bet you can upgrade it.

I think chimnies looks better in brick, and it's also a block you havent use much in the town. Imo it would a good contrast to the builds, which could look good

In 1.8 if you press ctrl or double tap W while flying you fly faster, no need for SPC.

This is the kinda video I thought I'd do when I start my KZbin with background music that fits the theme for example you're doing medieval/Celtic music here :) btw you should put on a resource pack at least faithful and maybe shaders too because default minecraft is really ugly :P faithful is the same colours and stuff just not as ugly close up ;)
