Episode 2 of a let's build series in which I want to build a whole city quarter with you!
Alot of things will be explained while building, but it is not a tutorial.

Hi Madness! I like the new roads, the bridge and the connected houses! You asked for things we would change, so here are my ideas/impressions: -it could look nice to connect houses across the street with for example washing lines -you could use diagonal (not straight) beams for the inner framework, as this just fits the style better than the straight ones ||| ||| ||| == ||| ||| ||| ||| those shapes for example -i think the classic woolstyle in the upper floors looks much better than clay and stone -the clear windows look also kinda better to me than the white ones, as they have a higher contrast -you once said you would use the buttons to set accents and stuff, but you use them an EACH woodblock facing towards the outside, so they are kinda common in your city and loose the accent effect -you could maybe do a bit less randomisation (at least missing bricks) as too much of it makes you buildings seem quite run down by those elements (i think in even in the middle ages most people fixed missing bricks in their houses) ok, thats all i can think of at the moment :)

Awesome. This is by far my weakest build style. A few well placed detail blocks and things like the chimney really change the whole look. The two stairs in front for support too; looks great and usually those are the little things i miss.

What I think you could use as a nice chimney design (I'm not sure if i spelled it correctly), is a flower pot on top of the chimney itself.

I think the city and building design are excellent, I would like to try something like this myself. The only thing I would suggest is not to make every building so different structurally. Blocks or rows of buildings usually have the same design for practical reasons (of course this is not always the case but more often than not). The difference will come through the material "randomization". By making every building different in structure, size and layout it is actually hard for the eye to focus on anything when viewing from a distance.

I recommend you get the plugin "Building Tools" on your server it will let you place the 6 sided bark texture without wasting time to use world edit for little things like that :D

I am just gonna be honest here, i dont really like the new style you got going with the city. the houses are way too messy in my opinion. they still look great but just not as awesome as before.

He's always trying to go for realistic designs; medieval houses were like this; the people were poor and tried to save as much space as possible(thus building long rows of narrow and high houses)
