It’s easier to just get diamonds to make diamond armour. As you know, you can’t craft netherite using ingots.

Netherite armour has the same value as diamond, netherite provides a small knockback resistance but it's not that great, getting diamond is easier

I don't play on pc but I think you can take stuff from creative mode and just drag it off of your hotbar. If that was confusing, prettymuch you can drag and drop the items from creative mode outside the box to drop it in front of you efficiently getting more items from creative mode. it was cool regardless though
