I personally don’t think 1.8 will die from this. As someone who started out with 1.13 (when that was the latest version), I later switched to 1.8 after discovering Bedwars. I think this will similarly happen with MCI and TubNet, but who knows.

i really hope your right about it exciting the minecraft community beacause recently bedwars and minecraft has been dying due to lack of content and the whole player chat reporting backlash and lockdown restrictions being lifted people actually have a life now. Its a bit sad to see the 1.8 community falling apart but i hope this new community will shine some light on minecraft. Also bedwars is averaging 6k plays and roblox bedwars is averaging 60k players which is more than the players on hypixel right now.

If I’m being honest, I hope that these new servers reach higher player counts than hypixel. It will be a wake up call to them, meaning they will HAVE to add new content in order to keep up with servers such as tubnet and mcc island.

honestly here's my ideas: i reckon mcc island and tubnet will make a rise to fame, and i think newer versions of content are going to take the lead, however i think that hypixel wont die. its been around too long and has too many big names backing it to fade into obscurity.

As a bridge main it would really hurt me a lot if I were to switch the pvp versions. Bridge is really, and I say REALLY based on pre 1.9 combat. I think 1.8 will still be superior but not for the reason of it being good, the reasoning would be lots of gamemodes BASED only on that version and converting them to 1.9 pvp would be nearly impossible while making it still playable

Fr bridge fight in 1.19 is so dumb. Like when ur against 2 ppl on bridge u cant hit them on time cuz the cooldown. And the bridge will be the dumbest gamemode in 1.19 with that new kb and cooldown I can bypass so easily and defend is not gona work AT ALL.

As a Hive Bedrock main, where the possibility modeling in much greater in bedrock then in java, i was very surprised when seeing the quality of the models, items, Ui, and particles on both TubNet and MCCI. When i joined servers like hypixel, i was very underwhelmed by the models and particles, since i was so used to seeing the crazy blockbench models made by skilled artists on servers like Galaxite, Cubecraft, and the hive on bedrock. But, since MCCI has as much experience as they do in modeling and animating, they were able to make some sick stuff, especially since this is on java. Anyway, time to watch the video now :D

Servers like this are pretty amazing. MCC Islands the server in which Intel played was pretty amazing. This server looks amazing ! Particles, Glow etc. If they added an option to change the kill message that appears in the middle of screen to sides them that could be useful for lot of people. I practised 1.8 pvp for a long time but a new start can be nice. What are your thoughts ?

Sounds great for all the 1.9+ fans because now they have good servers with more game modes. But I am a 1.8 boxing sweat ( flicking, 3,60s and stuff). I enjoy playing soup, pot, sw and a ton of other game modes as well. It would be sad if this community is going down again

I’m happy and sad about the change. I’m excited for new things but I’m sad that I never became good at bedwars, now that it will die out. But while Tubnet and MCC island may become very popular, there’s a chance that games like Bedwars might stay popular. I’m just happy that the Minecraft multiplayer community isn’t dying.

honestly everyone uses either clients or mods at this point, what if the new era is actually modded minecraft servers? I've honestly thought the biggest problem with modded servers was the unintuitive nature of installing mods, along with the average age of a minecraft player, but what if we had clients which came with the mods required for different servers? Not new clients specifically for the server, but different presets for lunar and all those clients. Then we could have any combat system, or any weapons or armor.

i think the problem with 1.9 pvp that might slow down the growth of those servers is how ping based it is. 1.8 is already annoying on high ping, 1.9 is almost unplayable imo.

imo what will happen is that tubnet and mcci will not endanger 1.8 content at all, all it’ll do is mean that there is a bunch of fresh stuff on top of the 1.8 stuff, and if anything, as you said, 1.8 could be better off as more people trying multiplayer could also cause more people to try 1.8

I signed up for MCC Island Beta weeks ago and still do not have access. And as for Tubnet, we'll see what happens, but it's been rough so far because of Cloudflare, many people including me waited in queue for hours on the beta day to get nowhere, then they delayed opening day. Even large KZbinr Wallibear I watched on Twitch waited in priority queue and was unable to get past it, then ended up playing MCC Island.

I started getting into 1.8 multiplayer because survival was getting boring. After playing 7 years of playing the bridges, skywars, egg wars (when cube craft supported 1.8) or bedwars, duels and other pvp based games. 1.8 multiplayer has finally been getting boring to me. I’ve even started playing 1.19 survival again recently but that’s pretty boring when you’re playing alone. So I’ll definitely try these servers out finally

This is also why I believe the new combat test system is completely unnecessary and should be avoided, because all it does is split the community once more.

I used to be a bridge main since it was released but the thing is when I shifted to my new house and my setup wasn't there and i was getting some 7 cps?? Hardly I was getting destroyed by bridge legends, which wasn't really a thing before I shifted to the temp setup they could easily just 3 tap me sometimes even 2 tap me that they I understood 1.8.9 is nothing but just CPS the higher you click the more advantage you get I mean i could still win but it was getting hard since that day i switched to 1.9 combat it's really fun cuz there are many servers in 1.9 combat with very fun game mode and the PvP is still based so CPS does not matter I still am enjoying 1.9 combat and it's servers and finally the Minecraft community will focus on their skill insted of buying mouse worth 100$, it will also be a fun time seeing new players play this combat.

The anticheat for Tubnet is gonna need to be really good, Because it’s a bedrock/Java server. If you join hypixel on bedrock you get almost immediately banned. Because bedrock works differently the anticheat is gonna be difficult. It might not know the difference between a hacker and a bedrock player

I remember something happened to lunar 1.8.9 for me and I had to play on a different version. I didn't use 1.19 because it makes my computer too laggy. Then I tried 1.17 and that didn't work either. Although 1.16 is actually very good. I didn't have as much FPS on there as I do on 1.8.9 but it wasn't bad. Usually the highest I can go on 1.8 is 230, and 1.16 almost got to 100. Also the axes are WAY TOO OP. If I did 1.16 PvP I would never use a sword EVER again. Anyways, I personally think 1.8 is better as it doesn't have cooldowns and I get higher fps.
