Hey Tomco, I got a question. Can you clone the second floor? What I mean by that is you said that you have to repeat the same thing from making the other floors so can we use commands such as cloning it, or it would just be a good Idea to do it repeatedly?

I’ve never really used commands much so I wouldn’t know if it would destroy the redstone when moving but if it doesn’t and all the redstone it there when cloned them yeah it should work

@@TomcoMC I have actually built this but 7 floors but every time I try to go to a different floor, the flying machine ends up going all the way to the top floor. I might rebuild this again and cloning actually worked but I think the problem was, was when I was trying to clone the middle floors, and then suddenly, instead of 408 blocks being placed it kind of deleted 25 blocks. :( Sooooo, I deleted the world.

Oh I’m sorry about that, I didn’t know if commands were going to work maybe you could use them again and just check everything is there like watch the tutorial for one layer notice what gets deleted and then change it for the other layers? That might be a way to do it but I’m not a command person so I would know.

Ok so I built the elevator and everything’s flawless. Call function works great. Only issue is that it goes top to bottom regardless of the buttons I press. It skips past the two middle floors. Any idea why this is? Edit: I missed ONE PIECE of redstone

Do you know when you press one of the middle floors? Go to that floor you pressed and makes sure that the sticky pistons with the observers ( you can see them if you go into the actual elevator shaft) make sure that they are extended. If not then do you know how on the top of that bit there’s lots of four tick repeaters, add maybe like 5 more repeaters. If that doesn’t work then keep on adding more. Tell me if anything happens 👍

Tomco I should’ve deleted my comment because I managed to fix it through some troubleshooting. Turns out the piston by the comparator/hopper part wouldn’t fire, all because I missed a single piece of redstone. It works amazingly. On a second note, when’s your other tutorial coming out for your piston elevator? I’m gonna build that too

If you mean the comparator one it’s currently just broke in 1.16, not the actual elevator but the redstone for it. Just need to fix that before I do a tutorial 👍

Thank you for this elevator. I have been looking for a multi-level realistic elevator for Bedrock for a while now. I was able to follow your tutorial and get my elevator working (after fixing a couple things I had messed up Edit: Haven't gotten the call button on the top floor working (3 story elevator). If the car is on the first floor, nothing happens; if it's on the second floor, the elevator door closes, then nothing happens). I'm wondering, though, if there is a way to run the redstone that runs along the two lines at the back of the elevator from one side to the other in a different way. I like the idea of the glass back to the elevator and those kind of ruin the view. Also, is there a way to maybe have the buttons come off at a 90 degree from the elevator doors (keeping the observer tower where it is)? Then you might even be able to stack the buttons and run redstone lines to the appropriate circuit in the observer tower and get the buttons closer to the door. You could even shorten the delay before the doors close and elevator starts moving.

hi, you might be able to run that wire to the front if you just redircet it it just means you might have a weird box in your roof or wall covering it. just make sure that it is the exact same timings. also i have designed that elevator with the 'L' shape design in the past and yes you can have the buttons closer there is a massive space inbetween the actual flying machine and the buttons which just makes it bigger. It is possible though and thanks for the suggestion!

@@TomcoMC I actually did figure out how to have a wall of buttons at a 90 degree angle from the elevator door so that the buttons are right next to the door. Since it requires having redstone running in parallel, I had to use the repeater/block/redstone/block/repeater... pattern so the parallel lines of redstone wouldn't connect together. It works great, other than the edit I just made stating that I just figured out my call button on the top floor isn't working properly. I have a 3 story elevator, and if the car is on the first floor nothing happens. If the car is on the second floor, the elevator door will close, then nothing. I can send the elevator to the third floor from any other floor.

Like I mentioned, if the elevator is on the bottom floor, nothing happens (though the redstone block at the bottom of the observer tower does get lifted). @Tomco I found the problem with the call button and got it fixed. In the line of observers that came down and terminated at the yellow blocks I had the final block as an observer instead of a yellow block even though it ended on top of the repeater (like what you show at 1:02:02).

@@TomcoMC It's easy. Just use a USB, then go to the files app. Then go to internal storage. Next find the games folder and click it. Then click .com.mojang and then click world's. Search every folders picture and see if it's world picture. Then go to media fire.com and then click add a file and click internal storage . Then select your world folder and upload your world. Finally copy the link and give it in the description and done!

The way I cleaned it up is by using black and white blocks, roman numerals numbers for the floors. and the item frames with up and down stairs and use the block of redstone for the call button. But I have to beware of the slime and honey blocks.

Tomco, I’ve built the elevator up to just before we start the call system so I tested if it worked and the right side kept stopping at the right places but, the left side kept flying up to the 4th level even though if I pressed the 2nd or 3rd button. Is there any way you could help me as I spent a lot of time on this elevator and I want to build it in my survival world but I don’t know what’s wrong with the left side of the build.

This is too tiring also this is cool but what I'm looking for is 3 high one and lastly I am ducking dumb!! My elevator flying machine maybe able to fit in the lift which is 2 wide and 2 depth however I think it was 10 or something high but mine doesn't have a roof and still in the improvement stages. However using this blueprint which the flying machine is at the side of the build never crossed my mind this may not be what I'm looking for but you just gave me the idea of how I could make it. I'll edit and update this comment in the future after I'm finished with the changes depending on how it goes, but procrastination may come in my way.

1. Reset the button panel by where the redstone blocks go up or down activate all of the pistons on the the top. 2. Make sure all the middle floors have the observers pulled back (where there is the piston that pushes the observer, you can see it from the middle that the elevator goes up or down in) 3.check that all the comparators are on (do you know where the hoppers going Into each other are) if not that move the item so the comparator is on. That should work,
