i like how emerald was the one supposed to be god slayer but he refused and just wanted his own town safe. while in the other hand protagonist became a god slayer without dying as said in the book god slayer was supposed to die, but the thing that only cost him was almost all his friends, btw the supposed "god" he killed was gumrock, and also protagonist was supposed to be the god since he was near achieving the power which luckily stopped by gumrock all it cost was his friends to be the god slayer
