10:22 Here, when I say "having more reach," I am referring to how far you can reach forwards, parallel to the ground. Aiming lower evidently reduces how far you're able to reach "forwards" as the line segment accounting for a player's reach starts from the player's head (this is because the line "travels" a greater distance vertically the more oblique it is and therefore "travels" less horizontally, thereby granting less "forwards reach" when you aim lower).

This video is great! Everything in here is gold for new players. One thing that you didn't touch on too much is block placements. You can catch even the sweatiest players off guard with a few good blocks. Also, water is very versatile when you get good with it. You can place it and pick it up quickly to get people stuck, and then jump them while they're slowed to easily get free hits. It's also great when combined with rodding when you need to buy time to gap

Yeah that's a good thought! I made this video excessively thorough to ensure that I at least have one existing video on my channel that covers all of my knowledge in this sector of PvP. Nowadays, I use the keys "CAPS LOCK" and "X" ("C" is optimal instead if you don't already use that) for my sword and rod hotkeys respectively. My mouse buttons are also binded to those keys so I use a combination of keyboard and mouse binds to hotkey for infinite rodding. I'm glad you've found the video helpful :))

it doesn't do double damage; it makes your sword hit register with your rod damage tick, making both attacks overlap, then you hit them again for the second regular sword attack that's what makes it seem like double damage

I have this problem where when I rod swap I cant strafe to the left (like u said in the video). I've tried binding my 2 key to my mouse buttons and scroolwheel but I jitter click, which means when I start clicking I cant swap to my rod, well why would i need to swap to my rod while clicking? When I use my scroolwheel or mouse side button, I cant use it when I jitter click because of the way I jitter click. It slows my clicking down which leads to my opponent sometimes getting one extra hit when I swap to my sword before clicking

I can totally relate to this. The only plausible advice I could suggest is by alternating between your mouse buttons and your keyboard when switching between the sword and rod (using both your keyboard and mouse to hotkey, maybe simultaneously). When you're at a distance from your opponent, use your mouse buttons to allow you to rod when you're strafing left. Once you're up close, you might want to only use your keyboard to hotkey so that you can rod and click faster. Because you cannot strafe left when using your keyboard, expect yourself to be straight-lining your opponent most of the time. In other words, think of it like this: At any distance between your opponent and straight-lining or strafing right? Stick to hot-keying with the keyboard. At a distance out of melee range and strafing left? Use your mouse buttons; landing one rod while strafing left - and then strafing right - is actually enough to start a good combo. Just like myself, you're pretty much compelled to strafe towards the right a lot more than towards the left. Although, try to include a few instances where you strafe left significantly so that you don't make this evident to your opponent. Don't allow your opponent to understand that you'll be strafing right a lot more, or they will predict your strafing pattern and land more rods on you. Because it's easier to strafe right and rod, spare how much you'll be strafing towards the right until you're sure that you can get some nice hits in when you're doing so. I hope this helps.

@@Dawgsrlife What happens is that when I use my keyboard to switch to my sword when I go in, I'm still forced to strafe to the right since I may need to swap to my rod in the middle of my combo or if my opponent combos me, I some times try to swap to my rod to end their combo, and once I do that I'm forced to strafe to the right for a bit at least. What hotkeys do u use for ur rod and sword?

@@biang2304 I use 1 and 2 on my keyboard for my sword and rod respectively, though I also use the two mouse buttons that I've featured in the video for those buttons as well. For me, when I strafe left using solely my keyboard, I momentarily let go of "w" so that I can just "stop moving" as I get the rod in, and then continue moving forwards thereafter. This is essentially w-tapping anyway, so I'm able to strafe left and infinite rod with just my keyboard by "w-tapping" as I do the hotkeys. This method works, but then again, it's risky because letting go of w could result in yourself getting combo'd. I'd still use my mouse buttons to rod when strafing left for that reason. Actually, what you can do is hold out your rod, and while you're strafing left, rod your opponent, then strafe right as you hotkey back to your sword and go for another rod or a swing. It's better to randomize your strafes anyway. LOL sorry for such long paragraphs; I always have a lot to say >_

I really appreciate the feedback. An alternative solution is to bind your sword and rod to c and 2, respectively, then bind your mouse buttons to those keys as well. This way, you can switch between using your mouse buttons only, your keyboard only, or use both mouse and keyboard to rod with. Personally, I do this, and I infinite rod by using my mouse button for the rod and ‘c’ on my keyboard for my sword hotkey.

@@Dawgsrlife I'm pretty sure learning how to use 2 side mouse button while aiming is better in the long term than setting your hotkey to a key on your keyboard, unless server view it as an unfair advantage(butterfly clicking is banned on a lot of the server) or your mouse shape is kinda trash.

If the person im fighting gaps and we are a good distance away, I generally like to bow off their absorbtion hearts before gapping myself. I avoid taking damage by swapping to my sword and blocking (while strafing after a shot) before pulling back my bow again. I noticed that a lot of the times, you end up with a bit more health than them since you get at least one free shot

Indeed, but you usually get knocked backwards when you're being hit. You'll *want* to have a lower velocity in that case for less kb. We'd move slower but the fact that we're moving at all makes us have reduced kb. Essentially, it's unavoidable - but the factor isn't as simple as a linear relationship. You'll move slower meaning that you'll technically take more kb, but the velocity of your kb will be multiplied by 0.6, thereby canceling it out. But to an extent, the kb reduction for that purpose overrides the "extra supposed kb" due to the slowed forward movement. If this doesn't really make sense to you, think of it as you'll technically take more kb but that "extra kb" will be reduced to 0.6 times that value, canceling it out and actually overriding it to help you take less kb. LMAO you don't have to understand what any of that means if you don't but just know that you'll take less kb when you land your hits for that purpose!! XDD

that's quite unfortunate to hear; maybe try the strat where you place blocks under your character to parkour over the water, just like how they do it in regular uhc.

the sword is from the pack and the hits are just how they regularly look like on lunar client

it's really up to your own evaluation during the moment, but the general idea is to w tap to deal kb - but mostly rely on your a and d keys to get a combo [e.g. watch my video titled keystrokes combotage for an idea]
