earth charge: spawns a row of dirt blocks in the direction it's thrown. Will convert any stone blocks into dirt as well. water charge: super speed swimming while underwater, spawns a water block while on land. If used in nether, it puts out any fires you might have on you.

Ithink they did that to balance with a bug patch where dogs didnt take full damage from the environment but knew dogs were already helpless aginst it so they doubled health to compensate.

To elaborate on the wolf health thing, yes it's been doubled but their half damage reduction from things like lava has been removed, meaning that those interactions will be the same as they were before but they will be much stronger against mobs like skeletons and zombies.

I think this is gonna have a spot right beside ender pearls in the PvP loadout, I can think of so many situations where you could just casually fling out a wind charge to help you get away from another player. Imagine you corner a guy against a sheer cliff and he just pulls a stack of wind charges out of his pocket and flies up to the top

These could also be quite interesting for Parkour Maps - giving the player a certain amount if wind charges to do jumps that are otherwise very tricky or outright impossible, and having them figure out where to use them for maximum mileage. Perhaps with a time bonus if any wind charges remain unused.

i think for redstone and survival the implications are quite large too. Remote activating stuff and getting to high platforms(without elytra and rockets) is pretty nice.

I do think since itll be hard to actually farm these in an automated way, rocket elytra will be by far the go to still, since rockets are easy to farm even without an auto farm and elytra arent actually hard to obtain (you can easily beat the game in iron armor or less and dont need to even engage with very many shulkers to obtain an elytra). That said, these will still just be a fun toy for messing around with, for redstone activation, and hell even for pranking your friends

yeah, long term elytra will be better for sure, as to why I added "without elytra and rockets". Elytra is quite the big game changer. Once you have it, the going up aspect doesn't matter much anymore. But without it should still give some fun opportunities for pranks, redstone etc..@@pokerusfreak8194

So I would make two changes to the wind charges: they can pass though copper grates and they always shoot strait from dispensers. this would allow the creation of elevators that with redstone could be set up to shoot you up to different floors. The dispenser below fires twice and you land on a well timed copper grate moved into place via piston. Hit another button and the charge comes up though the grate and takes you to the next floor and so on. Remote redstone activation can be set up with another dispenser shooting up from behind the wall to help with the timing.

other than as a neat rocket jumper, it also serves as a controlled jump boost effect. Normally you would have jump boost constantly in effect, which is nice but can be annoying at times. Now you can decide when to use it.

this also has massive implications for elytras. imagine you're falling close to the ground or a wall and you don't have fireworks to steer out of the way with? the wind charge can easily just bounce up you a bit higher to avoid the cliff facing unless it's too high to do so. if it's the ground, then you can throw when before you land and get a bit extra boost from it.

This is even more op than people think though. The strongest form of pvp in survival is crystal pvp, and the way you play crystal pvp is by hitting your opponent into the air then placing a crystal in the short time they are in the air because it deals damage to their feet. Now you can literally just use this to knock them up for way longer, and from further away since its a projectile

For me the most exciting thing about the wind charges is the Hunger Games Traps implications. There's TWO extremely exciting possibilities. First: Oh no, my gravel/dripstone trap is too obvious! Haha, not anymore. One person at the front for the switch, another in the back to blow them onto it. Provides satisfying and clutch moments. Second: Wind charges activates buttons. You can have a trap that uses a button outside, 'reassure' people that there is no switch inside (or the trap is inside where you are) then again 2nd person activates the wind charge from behind them without getting close. Im sure there are more, but these are the two coolest ones I could come up with under a minute.
