from what I understand, certain structures that use use structure blocks (woodland mansions, bastions, etc) and also jigsaw blocks, and can therefore be loaded in using commands as well, though it is a bit more complicated and I'm not sure how it would work. I would really love to see a command that allows you to change the biome of a particular area. Specifically so you could smooth out weird biome borders when trying to create a custom biome. It's super frustrating to be trying to make a forested island with a mushroom base and keep rubbing up against single blocks of ocean.
@leetom51923 жыл бұрын
I've been modding around with the vanilla generation system, and therefore have some feedbacks on what you said at the end about more different commands. The current place features command is already pushing the features placement code to its limit. That code however is quite isolated from other data, and a single function call will trigger the corresponding features placement. The other more complex stuff like placing caves (the old style cravers caves) requires crossing more than one chunk boundaries, (in fact, needs a 17 by 17 chunks area) to generate properly. That requires basically writing data before any terrains are generated and well, any chunks you are on are already fully generated, and any previous data used for the generation is discarded. Basically, I think they'll likely stop at just having this place features command due to difficulty in implementing more complex placement commend.
