Instead of faucets it's also possible to use fluid extraction cables to pour onto the ingot casting tables, saves you the hassle of making the redstone clocks

@beliyayael3130 it's been a while, but i think you can right-click the point it attaches to the smeltery and set a redstone mode. You can then switch it on or off with a lever on the block above

I did not know the automated user took blocks from below it, good to know. I had a similar design to this where it used cyclics auto miners and collectors, along with lava infused stone and water pumping into a cauldron. This is ALLOT easier and compact, ty

for the garbage collection and inventory cloggage: Use the hopping bonsai on top of a file cabinet with 2 files in it, one for resin one for acorns, it then just ignores everything else with the benefit of not needing a trashcan AND files can stack infinite amount of items. Then connect the file cabinet via a storage link the the system and you are good to go.

I tried this and it caused the amber to get stuck in the auto-crafter. I added a file for amber in the cabinet so it cycles through to the smeltery, and once I jump-started the auto-crafter again it worked

@@airhead5988 Just for anyone in the future who's doing this and got stuck again, I copied OnlyDravens setup but used the filing cabinet like these other two commentors. Finally, it freed the amber from the autocrafter, but the amber would go instead to the filing cabinet instead of the chest, so instead just put a item extraction cable, set it to whitelist the amber, and pump that directly to the item transfer node and you're good to go!

I really like using Formulaic Assemblicators for that first round of steps to create the amber. You can put the hopping bonsai right on top and have it feed out directly into your storage of choice.

You can use these, but having Assemblicators for all of the different ambers can get very laggy, very fast.

This is pretty much how I did my setup. I have some improvements for this design: 1. Instead of the casting tables I would set casting basins. If you run it like this long enough it would eventually clog up your storage with thousands of Iron Ingots. With blocks you would save 8/9 of that storage space. 2. A normal size conpact machine is big enough to house a 3x3x3 Smeltery. 3. Have the Lava and Energy production centralized in your base. This reduces the space you need inside the compact machine significantly.

File folders have infinite storage, you shouldn't be running out of space for iron ingots if you use one for your final drop point. I'd still use basins, but I'd use them because they produce iron 2-3x faster than the tables. That's probably an unnecessary amount of speed, so I'd do 1 basin and 1 table so as to stock up on each type so you don't have to convert them in recipes. A minor convenience, but if you're setting it all up anyway why not? You could easily do a third table for nuggets as well, because why not? There are a number of recipes that use them too.

on the storage export cable attached to the chest thats sending the amber to the smeltery, place one iron amber in there. As long as you have amber in the system it should kickstart the process.

I think so I am using hoping bonzai pot with filing cabinet and aicorns with rezin straight to the smelltery. I am also using pipes instead of redstone clock to pump in casting baison.

I like to set the extraction amount in the fluid extraction cable to 144mb so that it always uses the correct amount for an ingot.

Is there a way to keep the chest that is collecting the items from the iron tree from clogging with acorns? The tree often creates more acorns than resin. So eventually it fills up with acorns and no longer has resin to pair with to make amber.

You could set up another item extraction cable, set it to Redstone, whitelist Acorns, attach a trash void, and a lever to turn it on or off.

yes, the way it works is that the acorns and resins both drop in 3's(maybe a bit more complicated then that), and the acorns have a 50% drop chance, while the resin has 35%, the mulches multiply those percents, the blue mulch multiplies them by 350%, which makes the drop chance 175% for acorns and 122.5% for the resins, which is greater then 100% so EVERY TIME a drop happens you will get both acorns and resin, so they equal out, luck isn't a factor at that point, which doesn't really fix the problem because now you are gonna have more resin XD, what you could do is replace the chest the bonsai pot is on with a filing cabinet

Until you’re ready to build a fission reactor, the best power source is a geothermal generator with full upgrades connected to an automated lava generator. If you need you can run a couple of them. I’ve run everything up to and including the advanced parabox with 4 of them. Was enough to run all my processes.

Building on another comment (@CutenCudlyToo), you can use fluid extraction cables in place of the drains, and you can use a bucket of the molten metals to blacklist other metals from going into the wrong basin, ensuring there is never clogging

This isn’t working for me :( I don’t know if you still reply to comments, but I really am stuck. I followed your guide to the letter (though the layout is a little different to suit the space it’s in, one example being how the yellow cable is going out the bottom of the storage, though I did try connecting it to the same side as you after it wasn’t working) even checking every other guide of yours relating to the auto-crafting, as well as scouring the web for information and nobody seems to be having this same issue. The auto-crafter *works* but only once. After it crafts a single amber, then it just stops. It doesn’t rapidly do it like with yours. I don’t know if i’m just being an idiot or what, but it’s just so frustrating cuz I put so much time and effort into getting all this stuff and it just isn’t working for me. One thing I did notice is that when you put the things into the auto crafter, it showed a picture of the iron amber in the top middle of the UI. Mine doesn’t show that. I don’t know if that helps at all, but if you know what’s wrong with mine or have any ideas, please tell me

@@julesdante24 Yes and no. I found an alternative method (but bear in mind that I haven’t played for over a month now). You can use the redstone clock to make the faucet turn on and off, then have it pour into a… I don’t remember the name, but it’s like a little gutter that the liquid can travel across. If that goes into the basin, it can create blocks, and put a hopper beneath it to send it to your storage system. It’s not perfect, but it works. You can speed it up by connecting the gutter thing to multiple basins at once too

Yes, as long as you are in the overworld, everything will continue to run. If you go to the Nether, Twilight, End or Lost Cities is stops till you come back.

For some reason the auto crafter seems to be losing the amber somehow. I have it set up with a processing cable but after it has crafted the amber it will disappear from it's inventory and not appear anywhere else within the system, do you know any fix for this

@@jackkrebs4180 well i decided to complitely change it and just use a black hole unit, autocrafter, itemduct and a resource servo. With the resource retriever you can make it so that it only transfer up to 64 items in the autocrafter so it will never be clogged
