IMPORTANT: At 37:46 I placed the lever in the wrong spot. The comparator memory cell MUST initially have a signal strength of 9 in it, not 15. You must do this before pre-stocking any of the hoppers with water bottles. To do this, follow exactly what I do in this gif: imgur.com/h7cAWQn Also, some people have noted that you may get empty glass bottles from the water bottle dispensers. If this is the case, here's what you want to do. Remove the hoppers directly below the 3 dispensers (not the droppers, the dispensers facing the water), then fill all 3 of the dispensers with empty glass bottles. Remove the stair inside the water and just have it be a full water source block. Then, change the hopper chain below it to look like this, with the first hopper being directly under the water: imgur.com/p7rJ6Qd If you have finished building the machine, but something is not working, make sure you have done everything I instructed from 30:40 to 41:27, and payed attention to the directionality of one of the rails mentioned at 27:43. EDIT: Due to the number of requests for assistance I have gotten, I will no longer be offering tech support. I really wish I could help everyone, but the time and energy it takes to repeatedly do so isn’t something I can sustain. And yes, I know I didn't include the Turtle Master potion or Turtle Master helmet ingredient. I have simply never needed this potion. Ig the only fatal design flaw is that... the indicator for glass bottles aint accurate. It only detects if glass bottle is there on the first dispenser, nothing about the other 2. So u may feel like ur thing is safe until u actually realise the other dispensers had no glassbottles and ur machine kinda breaks. Its easily fixable ig but still inconvenient. Also maybe adding a shylker box loader and unloader would also have been great. Overall an amazing potion machine and by far the best in the redstone community probably.

Bruh, i've just spend a week designing one of these in my survival world and only just got it working with 5x brewing stands and 5x available potions. All the items which go in the top hopper come from a single minecart line with 9x item input modules. Each potion is programmed with a huge repeater line, and you're unable to select between the after effects. Whats programmed in is what you get. I also added item refueling with indicator lamps for when you're low on items. All i can say is well done, this is no easy feat hahah Props dude!

my favorite part about this machine is how absolutely fool-proof it is (excluding spamming the buttons, but it's the last thing I'd care about) it prevents impossible recipes, it knows whether it has enough ingredients or none at all, it will only brew as many potions as the number of your ingredients can allow regardless of how potions you wanted to set it to. this machine has everything

With the newly added crafter you can also automate the glass bottle making. Would be cool to see a 2.0 version of this machine that therefore would only need sand instead of bottles to run. :)

Akternatively, you could (and likely should) also make a witch farm for infinite bottles, sugar, glowstone, gunpowder, redstone and spider eyes. All things needed in fairly large amounts for brewing. Unless you prefer to do things without op farms and are only brewing for yourself, then it would be better to make an auto potion crafter.

Love, the Design. One thing to mention the water bottle filling station is also directional. I replaced it with a non directional variant when I built it because it was letting empty glass bottles through.

Just a few changes I'd have to make with the selector pannel, the Monostable T-Flips wouldn't work in bedrock.. the blocks just retract instead of staying out.. even if it's still 1 game tick. No idea why this doesn’t work. I built it in survival and also pasted it into a creative world and on both the ingredients come through in the wrong order, mostly creating a mundane potion which then blocks it up.

If you’re building it on a server, minecarts can unevenly distribute the items. I’m working on a 1.21 version which fixes this issue.

Hmm, really cool build. Fantastic job. My only question is, remember you example where you described the machine brewing LESS potions when you do not have enough of the base ingredient? In your example you tried to queue 9 brewing stands but only had enough magma cream for 5 and your machine adjusted accordingly by only brewing 5 potions...but what if you didn't have enough of the modifiers? Say you had all 9 magma creams but you only had 5 gunpowders? Would the machine recognise that and only brew 15 potions or would it brew 15 splash and the rest normal potions? And if its all 27 then wouldn't that break if because the detect-when-finished hopper would empty before the rest because it does not have a gunpowder in it?

Trust me I accounted for all of that. It detects when ingredients run out and when modifiers run out. Also one of the potion options (potion of weakness) only has a single ingredient in its recipe, which would usually be problematic for the detect-when-done timing circuit, but I made the machine account for that situation as well.

When you first build the machine it’s possible you may need to manually move the blocks powering the panel lights (the blocks that get moved back and forth by pistons) to accurately reflect the ingredients that are currently in stock or not

Ok, my machine works really nice now, there was an observer facing the incorrect side. You are a genius, i built it and It works well, but i dont know how it really works, this is by far the most complicated machine i built. Thank you for sharing and giving the world download with the building layer by layer, I built it wihout litematica because im in a forge paper server (arclight) and I cant download litematica because its for fabric, and there is no avaiable versión for forge 1.19.4

Spamming the inputs can potentially turn on multiple potion selections at the same time, which if you ran the machine, would result in an improper recipe from a combination of multiple ingredients being dispensed that shouldn’t go together. If you do happen to spam the inputs, you can still easily reset it by simply right clicking any of the potion options again.

I have no idea whats wrong, but when I select to make 9 with another modifier splash potions it makes 6 and 3 regular. I dont even know how to start troublewshooting lol. Edit: it just doesnt evenly disperse the items if youre making more than 3 pots with two modifiers Edit again: it seems to just not work when making an more than 3 splash regardless. just got 3 regular on a 27 batch of plain splash speed

Jesus this build is even idiot proof. One of the original potion labs by etho is great but it can break if people aren't familiar with how to works. The hardest part of any potion lab is that the people you are playing with need to be able to figure it out without you as well as it needs to be able to make small batches so it wont end up making a double chest full of potions you are never going to use. This is does both. Best I've seen so far.

How does the cake work in redstone?? Ive never seen that before!!

When you place a comparator coming out of the cake, it outputs a certain signal strength depending on how much of the cake is left. By default this will be 14, but it decreases by 2 signal strength for every bite. So, with the 4 bites missing as seen in the video, this means we get 6 signal strength out of them, and by sending that into the side of another comparator in subtract mode, I am able to turn 15 signal strength into 9 signal strength (because 9 brewing stands) by subtracting the 6. Cake works great for this, but of course you can also use just about anything else instead so long as it emits 6 signal strength.
