I remember when I wouldn’t even watch 1.16 because it was so boring to watch. Hypermodern changed everything and it was truly incredible to be in the community while all of this was being discovered

I reset every seed I can't do a hypermodern overworld on except for a plains village with a blacksmith with enough to make an iron pick because otherwise its just too slow and hypermodern is better.

Don’t reset villages with enters. You can roll enough iron for a pick in the bastion most of the time

ocean meta is by no means slow. resetting for purely the specifications you've listed would be rather inefficient in the long run.

Question: would Minecraft any% (no F3 menu allowed) be a stupid category? Seems like a lot of the techniques to find bastions/fortresses/stronholds rely on the f3 menu.

The f3 menu is only a rough scan, the actual skill of the runner and luck determines how well they're able to navigate to both the Bastion and Fortress. Taking f3 away would just be people wandering around until they get lucky for all three of those.

as long as the chunks with the pigs are still loaded (which they were in this case) it is fine, two chunks in each direction from the chunk he is was in would be loaded at 2rd

Has someone actually analyzed the code for stronghold generation? Or is stronghold navigation solely based on statistics?

@@Kino-Imsureq divine travel uses Minecraft code but most other stronghold location uses statistics based on the rings of a stronghold

@@lik7953 well divine travel is used to _find_ the stronghold, not _navigate_ the stronghold. Finding strongholds is easy but no one likes taking 3 mins to find the end portal. That's why i don't understand why no one is analyzing the stronghold code.

No, the only way to pie-ray is breaking spawner, but it is too slow Just go in the different quadrant and hope

You could switch the pie from "block_entities" to "entities" and look out for blazes and wither skeletons. However this is likely not as reliable as they take time to spawn in and move around. Also, mobs only spawn within 128 blocks (8 chunks) around you, which limits the reach of this. But it could work (But I haven't tested this)
