i'm not big on the turtle armour idea, since the existing implementation implies you are wearing a literal turtle shell on your head, which i think is fun, and makes armour choice more creative and strategic, since it's a reason to mix and match armour pieces. (same reason leather boots having utility on powder snow is also really cool.) also, with obtaining scutes being difficult already, why make the process grindier for obtaining a full armour set? i actually hope more individual armour pieces with exclusive bonuses are added, since it makes the whole armour mechanic more interesting to engage with (instead of simply aiming for full diamond or netherite).

Or maybe have different stages of burnt wood. Regular is just regular, then there's blackened and charred, both darker than regular wood types but you can still tell charred cherry wood from charred oak. At the end it all becomes burnt wood, it's a black wood type and there's no difference regardless of what wood type you started from. Unlike copper though, you can't reverse the burning/charring, but I do think that's fair given how much easier it is to get a lot of wood compared to copper, plus it's much more easily renewable.

Slime chunks should be changed into a full slime cave biome I was thinking that turtle armor could have a super tanky effect, wearing a complete set could give you crazy resistance at the cost of moving way slower somewhat similar to the potion but make you relatively better underwater Might not work but I think maybe an endermite can burrow into a shulker, and make some kind of extremely strong new enemy Striking a tree with lightning could create a new woodtype that has some kind of unique function Anvils should always be able to be dropped from midair, similar to Smash Bros. The main issue with the slime cave idea, is that slime chunks are way too common, and it involves the entire chunk below y40. So, that mechanic would have to be stripped out and a new slime cave mechanic would have to be made to take its place.

As another commenter added above, the turtle armour seems a bit too much, as the turtle helmet implies you are wearing a turtle shell on your head, whereas a full set of armour...? The slime cave biome replacing slime chunks though? Amazing idea. I really like the zombie horses in zombie villages ideas. It might also be a cool possibility if one or two spawned in mangrove swamps, depending on its total size. For breeding, there could be a "zombie clone" potion that requires a golden apple and a totem of undying to brew. It wouldn't be easy to breed them that way, but not impossible, either (unless playing survival in peaceful, where there are no mansion mobs to slay to get any totems, but cheats are a workaround there,) and breeding wouldn't depend on a second zombie horse which is in turn dependent on finding a second zombie village.

I almost like the idea of them getting rid of mundane and thick potions entirely, and maybe having us need to brew a new “awkward variant” with a new warped Nether wart. For stands in igloo basements, maybe have one or 2 pieces blaze powder either in the stand or in the chest. This will give players who don't like the nether a chance to craft ender chests or the incentive to explore if they want to go to the end without having to go find a nether fortress...

Re: Slime chunks I think whenever you enter a slime chunk, a small slime should spawn in that chunk, somewhere close to the player. This means you will see them much more often, and they will give players a clue about where the chunks are without any additional information provided.
@Andrewtr6Ай бұрын
I love the bucket of slime idea! However, I think slime chunks should be removed and replaced with a new type of cave. Slime caves could add a new block made of slime. Hardened Slime? Slime Stone? I'm not sure, but it could also be made by smelting a slime block. This new block could be turned into the typical bricks etc. I don't agree that Mundane and Thick potions should be removed. Just give them a use. I would change how they're obtained though. My first thought is that the Mundane potion could make you immune to other potion effects. This would be useful for PVPing a player that uses splash potions. Or a splash potion of Mundane could remove a player's potion effects. Of course, these potions would also prevent you from using potions yourself. A mundane potion could last twice as long as typical potions. This adds a way to resist potions and remove them from opponents. Currently, we can only remove potions by drinking milk. Mundane potions would also prevent the Mining Fatigue effect from Guardians and Levitation from Shulkers. For this reason, the brewing ingredient should be rare; something that can't be easily farmed. However, these potions would not require nether wart as a reference to how they are currently brewed. Btw, In Bedrock, both Mundane and Thick potions can be used to brew weakness potions. As for Thick Potions, I'm not sure. One thought is that they are meant as a counter to Mundane potions. Thick potions could use as a base for the other potions. They create Thick *Insert Potion* (Thick Strength Potion for example) which won't be removed by a mundane potion. The mundane potion can reduce the time duration or reduce a strength II potion down to strength I for example. I don't think this would be a bad idea as it would give players a way to counter mundane potions without mundane potions losing their use. So, if you use thick potions as the base for your swiftness, strength, and regen potions you can still have potion effects applied while having the Mundane status to prevent opponents from applying negative effects to you. Speaking of potions, we need a potion update that adds some of the missing effects like levitation and hunger. A potion of hunger could easily be added by brewing up zombie flesh. Burnt wood should be called Charred Logs. I think it sounds better. The appearance should also be more drastic to really sell it. If we got charred logs, I would expect to see charred planks and the like too. Instead of adding burnt variations for every log type, I think it's more likely Mojang would just add a single log type known as Charred logs. This could be a black log with ashy planks. A charred forest is something I've seen suggested a lot especially along with the idea of a Volcano biome. Lastly, the tnt bomber idea and eye of ender change are two of my favorite suggestions!

slime in a bucket is an existing mod idea, so with Mojang being reticent to merely lift someone else's idea in whole what can make it different enough that Mojang would probably say yes? One idea I happen to like is that you have to place the baby slime in a flower pot. If the slime grows bigger but stays in the pot, it means you are not in a slime chunk but are near one (size of slime indicates visually how close--large = adjacent, medium = 2 chunks away, baby = 3 or more chunks away); if the slime pops out of the pot and starts bouncing around as a mob again, that chunk is a slimechunk. That would turn slimechunk-finding into a sort of Minefield game where you have to figure out where the chunks are from the context clues. For endermites, we currently have a nonspecific artificial way to create silverfish (potion of infestation) and a nonspecific way to create endermites (ender pearls). In the past, the "lore" of endermites was that they existed in an in-between dimension that ties the three dimensions together so that endermen can teleport into them but I think this was later decanonized. What if endermites also naturally spawned in the end to fill the silverfish role there? They burrow into the end blocks (endstone, purpur), breaking the infested ones wakes them up, and damaging the mites wakes up more. I suppose they could infest all the blocks that all silverfish-like mobs do. I agree with the zombie villages having zombie horses, but I don't think they should breed with regular horses...they're dead, that stuff doesn't exactly work anymore. Instead, zombie horses and regular horses could be another layer to the battlefield interactions...zombies/zombie villagers will only interact with players/villagers and do all the things they do, while zombie horses will only interact with horses. We can expand on horses to make them able to fight back or run away as needed. Curing zombie horses would be the same as for zombie villagers, and they'd regain/obtain their old horse stats as appropriate (perhaps curing them would be the only way to get a warhorse capable of fighting back, with normal horses having a chance to spook). An alternative way to introduce zombie horses would be to tweak the way zombie sieges work. Currently, they're just a mass spawn of a bunch of zombies that can spawn in places they normally couldn't. If the siege were reworked to be a bit more raid-like then we could add zombies on horses, zombie horses in general (filling the ravager role), start introducing other undead mobs like skeletons and skeleton traps and skeleton/zombie variants. Alternatively, just get rid of zombie sieges as a separate event entirely and make it a chance-based raid-variant with a final wave that has some witches, maybe an illusioner, and a new pillager necromancer (kinda like the evoker but it spawns in more undead instead of vexes). Shulkers showing their contents (like bundles) should be quite doable, but the way they went about showing the bundle items (it only shows a max of like 12-13 items, anything else after that is relegated to the " plus N more" text you can't interact with). That seems like it might be more intentional than just "it makes the window too big" and that could easily translate to any QoL update to shulker interaction. With 27 slots, I would expect more to be shown than bundles but I don't think having that makes shulkers better. Burnt wood should char in layers stacking away from the source of the fire, making them like layer blocks in a way. However, there are 6 blockfaces and firespread could be turned on so it's feasible that the char pattern would be multidirectional (and just having a set orientation like layer blocks would break immersion too starkly for me). I think the char could be rendered the way banners are rendered, allowing for interesting and intricate patterns to be developed.

When copper was introduced to the game I started proposing either introducing a new wood or an existing wood like acacia that can age. It won’t age while it’s in its generated tree form but when it’s harvested, much like how leaves won’t despawn if they’re placed, when placed down the wood would age to grey just like copper ages. So only placed wood could age, there would be variants like the copper block, and you could wax it to stop the aging process at the desired levels. I also think the azalea trees would be a good candidate for this because right now they are just oak logs. It could give them some function. Expanding on this idea I thought the same could be done with birch tree leaves. After planting a birch tree, the leaves will age while on the tree. The copper aging mechanic causes copper next to an aged copper block to age faster than one not in contact with it. So aging leaves on the tree in this way would cause the trees to not be a kaleidoscope of messy colors but a more cohesive blend as they age. When you harvest the leaves it locks the color. We would be able to have color variations of leaves. Say green, yellow, orange, red, and maybe even a plum and or brown as the last aged color.

endermite burrowing benefits: 1 trolling. another idea: endermite can burrow into a limited set of blocks like end stone, birch logs, cobblestone, netherack and glowstone. this creates a new block set depending on which block it burrows into. (i don't agree with "make it purple"). these five specifically are rarely used in builds due to their "ugly" textures and are common enough that even if someone does use it in their base, griefing their base with endermites can easily be fixed.

I like the idea of making more Turtle Shell uses, but would prefer a different implementation simply because I don't need more armor and tools for niche uses cluttering up inventory. I already think the utility of Leather Boots should be included in Frost Walker, making it a worthwhile treasure enchant to search for while still providing Leather as an early game alternative. Accordingly, the current Turtle Shell helmet should stay, and the new utility could come from a new Smithing Template. Found in a new dungeon, this template could use the Turtle Shell as the copy material, and allow you to apply aquatic upgrades to any armor of your choice. This would include giving the current shell's effect to any helm, plus the new effects to other armor slots. Dissapointed you can't look like a turtle? Same dungeon can have an armor trim to solve that too! The scutes themselves would also make a neat, less vibrant green armor trim color. If copper and resin can both be orange, why not have multiple shades of green? Maybe prismarine too!

Love the idea for the turtle scoots

I suggest using Abandoned and Zombie Villages to solve the problem of hidden villager types. Make villages of these types spawn in biomes that don't have natural village generation. It's swamp and one other. Voila! Now the hidden villager types will be found by the players who will naturally want to repopulate those villages. It will also make those village types spawn more often. They're a bit too rare in my opinion.

Slime chunks are so hard to find and figure out that I refuse to fool with them. Do I use cheats, I'm forced to used cheats or commands otherwise I will never have sticky pistons. Turtle scoots, another item in the game I choose to ignore. The mechanics of turtles, collecting scoots to make helmets, ridiculous. Zombie horse spawning is logical, maybe too logical for Minecraft. I think they want you to Wiki brewing stand recipes. Fandom Wiki Minecraft has a lot of ads, maybe the collect a fee for views made, lol. Great points on all list suggestions, Cub. I hope we all reap the benefit of change in you suggestion.

The last change for eyes of ender would be very good (going into the frame when thrown near the portal) as I've accidentally thrown one rather than placed it, and then lost that eye faaaar too many times! Especially frustrating when you've already run low on them due to them breaking while finding the stronghold! I've lost count of how many times I've had to leave the stronghold to get one more pearl or blaze powder, because my last eye was thrown instead of placed! 🙈

I love the slime chunk detection system. I know there are mods that can do it and some in a similar way. I hope to see this in vanilla soon. Also a potion book? Yes, Please!!! I can never remember all the recipes and I use the other book when crafting all the time, so this would be an intuitive addition. ~Sassy~

Another way to find charred wood naturally could be from lightning strikes. That would require storms to be more frequent, but it might also give the trident another use besides zapping mobs. It seems like a chore to automate burning wood for a certain amount of time and hoping you get charred wood and not charcoal.

Fireworks will also be able to be used as a flare, i love the idea

Actually a special fireworks that would work like a flare, staying lighted a bit longer and is highligted through blocks would be awesome when caving with friends and exploring!

I want a zombie horse so badly! Agreed with slime chunks too. The tnt bombing would be epic as well. I also am a victim of not following ender eyes well 😅

I agree with what some commenters have said about a slime cave, the issue with the bucket slime solution is that it still relies on debug features. I think we should be trying to get away from things relying on f3

I pretty much agree with almost all of your suggestions, one issue I find is that these little QOL changes while they should be in the game, they aren't revolutionary and won't grow the playerbase, I think we need intrinsic motivation

I would love to see a dark grey charred wood for building - with planks, fences, trapdoors etc. I don't think breeding zombie horses makes much sense, if they're dead and reanimated, how are they breeding? Maybe if a living horse is killed - struck by lightning maybe? next to a zombie horse, it transforms. I love the idea of them appearing in zombie villages though!

6:25 ehhh, as much as I'd like to have one less mod to check for with updates Cub... I really don't trust Mojang to do a good job on shulker box tooltips; this'd be bundles all over again, only letting your see the first row of items or some nonesense. And then I'd need a mod to fix that instead of adding it..

I kind of like endermites, I definitely wouldn't want them removed but more mechanics or lore is always a plus.
@SpookyCrownАй бұрын
Yes, i found a zombie village just a few days ago and i was thinking the same, that zombie horses should be possible to find there. Instead of regular breeding it'd be cool if you could use rotten flesh in some way to create one?... but i guess that'd become more of a franken horse tho.

I really think the end portal texture(the void with stars) should be 100% invicible and particle free. That way new players actually have anxiety jumping into a pool of lava.
