It’s because “a Minecraft movie” has most of the problems of the live action Mario bros movie, where it doesn’t actually follow the games lore and logic. Fans want a movie that follows the same lore but also add original content. The only difference between the live action Mario bros movie and a Minecraft movie is that a Minecraft movie can be much more creative while also following lore and logic than the Mario bros movie, since Minecraft’s lore is small but well composed.
