It would be cool if they added back fireflies and then made pitcher plants eat them because that's what they do in the real world.

Make a mechanic where every time the pitcher eats a firefly it gains light levels. Maybe it hits a maximum of like 10 light level after eating 5 fireflies, or something like that.

I’m holding out a very small sliver of hope that the torchflower may eventually give off light. Maybe the both being usable in potions might be cool, but I mostly just would like a slight glowy flower, even if it is no brighter than glow lichen or even brown mushrooms

The pitcher pod does technically have a use, the farmland below it can be broken when fully grown, leaving the hitbox of the pod, which extends down into the block below - this is like an upside down fence/wall - as a result it can be used for different mechanics such as wither cages and general entity containment. Edit: ok this is redundant now, they changed it :(

Missed showcasing that the pitcher plant does provide a dye: *cyan* (actually the first sole flower/source that can give cyan dye).

What I love as well is that people on reddit consistently dismiss modded Minecraft, deeming the features in them "un-mojang-like" as if that's a bad thing, and yet, mojang's official updates themselves look progressively more "modded-like" with each new entry and NOW people like it? Even though the official updates themselves look like B-tier mods??? I thought the modded look is un-mojang-like? What happened? It's un-mojang-like until mojang themselves adds it. The Minecraft community could be shown the best mod on the planet and still think it's dogshit but if Mojang themselves added it as part of their update, it's all of a sudden the best thing ever.

I'm glad Sniffers can provide you with more than one plant, the pitcher looks very nice. Besides, most Sniffer opposers said that it's disappointing that it gives just one type (back when it was said to give one). It's not a big difference, one to two, but still.

The glow squid did very little though and gave little lore to the Minecraft world. The sniffer gave lots of lore and it's big and cute and the egg mechanic is very well done.
