@Sebastian Scott Well this happened a few years before the sale, minecraft was already pretty complete by 2014. He also doesn't seem to like the fact he sold it, and doesn't enjoy the wealth and lifestyle he has after it.

Who'd have ever thought a small game about blocks, developed by one man in the beginning, would become the most purchased game in the world. 180,000,000 copies bought now. Purchased by Microsoft for $2.5 billion. All that from one man and a computer, writing basic code... So inspiring to see how something so simple could become a landmark of a generation and be the great success it is. Many of my friends online I've met through minecraft, years ago I met them, and to this day we still talk to each other and many I've met up with. No one could've imagined a cave game with blocks could do that. Such an amazing thing.

The problem with selling Minecraft to Microsoft was almost non existent. Until recent updates. I feel like Minecraft is getting too complicated. It's supposed to be a simple sandbox game where you can create your imaginations. Lately they are making it harder for chill gameplay and turning it into a grinding game. As a decently old player i don't think that's a good thing.

Minecraft is a sandbox video game developed by the Swedish video game developer Mojang Studios. The game was created by Markus "Notch" Persson in the Java programming language. Following several early private testing versions, it was first made public in May 2009 before fully releasing in November 2011, with Jens Bergensten then taking over development. Minecraft has since been ported to several other platforms and is the best-selling video game of all time, with 200 million copies sold and 126 million monthly active users as of 2020. In Minecraft, players explore a blocky, procedurally-generated 3D world with virtually infinite terrain, and may discover and extract raw materials, craft tools and items, and build structures or earthworks. Depending on game mode, players can fight computer-controlled "mobs", as well as cooperate with or compete against other players in the same world.
