This is actually linear, if you think about it, there are many paths but he has to do specific things in order to open them and every path opens 1 at a time. It just seems to be non linear but in actual fact it is linear.

​@@sidneypowelstock6812 I'm guessing you haven't used one since they were first added. Shields were buffed. They now block 100% of damage rather than the 40% or so that they did in the past. Shields also prevent any damage from ranged fire or poison effects and greatly nullify or eradicate the effects of knockback. Heck, it can actually knockback the opponent who hit the shield.

I always wonder what the outside of maps like this look like. I mean, did someone build it on a superflat plain, or in the void, or maybe is it built into a survival world that still exists beyond the map? what happens if you chuck an enderpearl over the walls? do we get to see a dev zone full of redstone and command blocks?

I usually build in the void, and most maps nowadays will use datapacks, so you wouldn't see too many command blocks. Although my maps usually use a decent amount of command blocks because I sometimes can't be bothered to open my text editor. This map appears to have been made before datapacks were standard for maps to use, so you'd probably see either void or superflat, and a medium amount of command blocks, as this map appears to use mostly redstone.
