You can also place it under a tree so when the bottom log is broken, the gravel/sand underneath the tree falls down, this makes it so it doesnt need to be placed in a dessert/cave and can still be effective

This gives me an idea for an adventure map room... do this for an entire floor made of sand and gravel, but only put the string on the gravel blocks. Once the flowers are removed, fill the floor with a deep lava pit. Suddenly, it becomes a game of "don't touch the gravel" :D It's...a little hard to reset, though...

You can also do this by placing dirt instead of the bottom part of the rose bush, and placing a 1 block high flower on top the dirt.

I think the glitch happens because if you break the bottom one, the top one doesn't know what flower to be, so it turns into the default one: peonies. Since all the flowers are just the same block retextured and with a different name. Then it deletes itself, when you break the top one, it just prompts both blocks to get deleted.

The flower block that appears for a split second is because all 2 block tall plant blocks are registered as minecraft:double_plant So when you break the bottom block it updates the top block for a split second so the top block's data tag is lost.

cool, but the best traps take advantage of people's stupidity. I once made a trap in the end that was a house saying "enderman safe house", and made a trap in front of the door. I got TONS of items from it. (also tons of enemies, too

Wow... used this in factions for acrobatics mcmmo, i stacked multiple of floating sand on top of each other going all the way up to my skybase, then i jump on sand from up top, and then each time i hit the sand, it would slow me down a little, so i don't die, but still get acro... its easier to just make 4 block high stairs tho..

You do not actually think that is the end of it do you? according to what a lot of the How to Minecrafters say, the war is still alive, but we don't know when it will happen. The last thing was just a battle, not the whole war.

It's probably the sand that falls, triggered the TNT. If a sand block falls, it's a falling sand entity, thus allowing it to get knocked back. Though I'm sure most of you know this from contraptions such as the sand cannon.
