Way more efficient and complex than our chicken farm! We use a looting sword and manually kill them, feed them seeds to get a bit of xp, and trade the raw chicken and feathers... How about a series of pens, with a clock that toggles how long each pen is filled, and then releases a fox with a looting sword in when the last of the chickens should be grown up? The fox could move from pen to pen... I'd have to refresh on how to make sure they keep the sword instead of trading it for feathers or chicken, or have a sorter that gave it back to them if they lost it... My ideas are never the most practical solution. I love Rube Goldberg machines- a suspicious stew sorting system so you can figure out which one is which is which when you find them as random loot... we were playing in a mod pack once where mobs wore funny hats. We had conveyor belts and we had safari nets (Poke Balls). I caught a collection of the coolest mobs with hats and set up a system that would release a mob onto the conveyor belt and it would slide past the viewing window. At the other end the system would put him in a safari net again and back into storage to cycle around. It was basically a model show catwalk for mobs with funny hats, but man did it look snazzy. We also used these trophies from a mod... I discovered you could use an autonomous activator and a wrench to rotate them. The different trophies had different effects for different mobs- the cow gave milk, different stuff like that. The enderman trophy threw ender pearls that randomly teleported you if you hit them. By using the activator and the wrench we could get the enderman trophy to spin around in circles randomly throwing enderpearls at everyone. /Probably shouldn't have done that on a skyblock world...

It works great with an alternate fuel source on Java 1.21 (I host my own server so I use bamboo or lava buckets.. I just switch out the lava cauldron for a double chest to collect the buckets and have a lava farm out back of the machine. I also have a bamboo flying machine farm near by I fill every once in awhile if I haven't kept up with the lava buckets... (iron farm near by too )

My duper didn't cut off on 64, now its filling up the barrel. Is that the intention?

Had to get that slime and sticky piston going with a direct source (lever or torch) for some reason. It didn't want to work with the redstone through the green block for some reason

Ok I must have missed something or I'm dumb (that's probably more accurate 😂) but how do the chickens die? I'm also on Bedrock so I know that I will have to have a different fuel source unfortunately 😭 probably a one tile bamboo farm that I use for my furnace arrays .

This is super laggy on my world. Guess the # of chickens I have in such a small area is killing my potato. :( The other problem is carpet is spewing out all over the back of the machine. I can barely move near this thing! WOW

yea that would be the only thing you need to change with an alternative source of fuel

@@skylerlysek9231 cool ok. I ended up just making a line of hoppers underneath the build to a chest at the front in the ground. Then I have a dropper elevator at the back that loops back to the smoker so I can just put coal in

If you have night time, grass, and a simple hoe, (and if you're making redstone contraptions, you're gonna have redstone), you can get a target block. If you're on a challenge world with no access to some of these things, just improvise

the carpet duper for the furnace / smoker might not work on the xbox but the rest should work just fine

I can confirm that all but the dupper would be the only thing that will not work. You would have to add a fuel source to be able to use.
